RSC Memories

Basically, a spin-off thread of one I saw in RS General where you post your best memories...

For me, some funny things I remember were people auto-clicking the bank doors to prevent people getting in and out... such a pain, lol. Also the shemale glitch where you could have a beard and breasts... it was just awesome.

What are your favourite/fondest RSC memories?

 

Pking, the people who wore black armour in wilderness, and also just the whole concept of how the game was played. It seemed soo much fun, it was a shame that they removed RSC.. I had a big rant over the change and did a drop party :l

Dem breasts and beards, god i love that.

There was a she-male glitch in rs2 somewhere before they patched it with the new character models.

PKing was the best in rsc. Rs2 doesn't compare.

Drop parties above that place in varrock.

Strength ammys were always called ruby ammys.

I could go on for ever.

 

You can still do it, but seeing as the 'new' way isn't a glitch, you can't have a beard along with another headwear.

Forgot the quest's name, but during it you need to convince someone to sell some kind of rum and you're given several disguises to accomplish that(one of which is a beard). You also get to keep all of the disguises.



Anyways, a good memory of mine, in general, is just looking up some names of players which I really looked up to "years" ago and checked their skills daily, etc., only to see nowadays that their stats are never updated and probably will never be updated again. Just sad... :x

 

Loved pvp in rsc now it sucks compared to the old days.

spending hour's mining at varrokc walking to lummy to smelt ores then smithing them in varrock noob procedure!!

best was stakeing an 3 hitting noobs

I miss slamming the bank door shut on all the miners racing to bank ores.. Good times.

 

Man those were the good old days. Favorite one was when rsc first released dragon slayer and there was a long ass line to talk to the guildmaster. Also people actually cybering in the houses for a quick piece of gold it was hilarious lol

 

when i use to have lots of pking friends and we use to pk at varrock wild with lvl 8 magers using fire bolt.

and the quiz's people held which were actually legit.

 

Nope, just remembered. It was "Rocking Out".

 

Back in 2004 you could wield a rune throwing knife with 1 attack and it looked like you had 40 attack.. I used to bank with my mage, everyone thought i had 40 attack.

I used to hate going to world 1 and 2 varrock when I needed to sell something... keeping up with what people were saying was a pain in the ass.

I also hated when i staked for hours and made mills after mills... only to lose it to the same guy in 1 stake.

 

My favourite memories were level 5 mages in varrock wild. Such fun. *Eat your food as they hit and the spell didnt hit*.

 

I remember it was either the Rune longsword or shortsword which was the best weapon, since nobody had reached high enough smithing to make it.

I got my first Rune 2h from Musashi22, because I won a race up the wolf mountain at taverny. I belive the price of a 2h at the time was 600K.

I remember when there was no wildy, you had a choice between pk or non pk.

I remember killing chickens all day to sell feathers, or trips to lv 23~ wildy to get big bones to sell.

I remember random drop parties, either outside Fally East Bank, or 2nd Floor of the Varrock museum.

I remember the raw pie glitch, when you cooked a pie you would get a cooked pie and the exp and still keep your raw pie.

I remember the knife glitch when it could be equipped and it did ridiculous damage.

I remember my first OMG moment, I went pking In my full mithril and took my prized rune shortsword, and killed a player at lv 1 varrock wildy, loot was Rune Square, and Rune Large. Which got me around 400K at the time.

I remember when Santas and masks dropped, I simply stood by the varrock wildy, since everyone was running around fally and lumby to grab the items. I had that area all to myself. 15+ mask sets, 30+ santas all for me =)

I remember I took a day off RS, turns out it was the day crackers dropped.

I took another day off, and my clan later told me I missed one of the biggest Dupes, when thousands of P Hats were made.

I remember when staking first came out, there was no such thing as a good staker, everyone had terrible stats and staked anyway. It was much more fun than now.

Same as above with PKing.

I remember my first 1M gp, I bought a yellow P hat for 100K, and my friends followed me around, I bought each of them an addy set.

I remember 1 type of arrow and 1 type of bolt, crossbow, shortbow, longbow as well.

I remember when there was no level req for armor, so level 1s would wear mith/addy, it had changed when rune became common.

People freaking out about level 16s~ with Rune 2hs, or rune armor.

Dragon slayer quest first came out, People would wait outside the dragon room, because they new a player was bound to die and drop their stuff inside.

people drop trading in the most obvious spots.

Going up a ladder and then seeing in the chat, " Oh you like that baby?"

Seeing 2 dots a couple building over after said comment^

Actually using the disk of returning to get out of the black hole.

Glitching your way to the black of the map and walking using your minimap.

Drop parties in areas reached by using above glitch.^

I miss it all. =(
