Knowledge about botting

From my experience I have been caught botting for just one reason. I was caught because my program ran way too fast. Anything that runs at extreme unhumanlike speed will be caught by jagex. I was never banned for years running at 3 times human speed. One day I accidentally set the speed to times 10. I was immediately banned. So jagex is not actually so advanced to catch any bot. You just have to make sure your bot is not injecting code and running insanely fast. If you do those two things you will not be caught.

 

That last sentence is an overgeneralization. There's more to their detection system than just speed. While speed is a factor, this alone is not all they look for when banning bots.

 

I've been caught through a bot getting stuck or something along the lines of running out of arrows when I have left and had an IRL meeting over run and BAM - banhammer

 

Also quite a lot of bots atm have been getting manual bans. They have hired a guy who's job is to ban bots.

Mod Weath actually. I think jacmob most likely helps with the detection systems too as he knows bots inside out.

 

Jacmob works in the Game Engine Development department. Altho, he is known for randomly going on banning sprees... he gave me a manual ban about 7-8 months ago.
