[RS3] [Completed]1 Million Nature Runes + 99 Slayer [No RWT] [Completed]

Hello all and welcome to my Goal thread. I am going for 1 Million Nature runes via the Abyss in OSRS and 99 slayer in RS3.

Keep in mind the original goal was 1m nats in RS 3, then I saw that'd be pointless. Going for 99 RC in OSRS.

~Origins of my Runecrafting days~
Ever since I started Runescape, Slayer and Runecrafting have been my two favorite things to do in the game. While I do enjoy the older content that 2007 Old School Runescape offers, I have made too much progress in the core game to fully convert myself to 07. Eventually, I will be going for 99 runecrafting in 07 scape, but I need to train my account to be abyss ready in that game. I also want to convert the money I make in RS3 to 07, which will help make 07 easier for me (and it's not against Jagexs' rules!)

My first goal of this thread: 1 Million Nature Runes. I will make about 320M of pure profit off of this. I only had to spend a measly 6 million GP for the Pure Ess. Can you believe Pure Essence are only 12 gp each in Runescape 3 now? Double nature crafting is actually still very profitable in Runescape 3, as Natures are constantly hovering anywhere from 310-375 GP each. This is actually more than 07 per nature. Although one must factor in the conversion rate of EoC-07 gold, so 07 RC is still quite a bit better.

However, I am not in this for the GP, as I actually have a Partyhat Set with an Extra Blue and 2 extra Greens. I will address in my Q & A section why I don't sell those down below, and would have no problem proving I have em if people don't believe me (Which I doubt lol).

~Origins of my Slayer Days~

Aside from Runecrafting, which got me a lot of my wealth, which was all legitimately earned on my main account, Slayer has always been my second favorite skill. My 2nd half of this goal thread will be finally attaining that elusive Slayer Skill Cape. I always dreamed of being able to slay Abyssal Demons for whips and making a ton of profit back in the day. That is exactly what I did to earn my partyhats, a combination of slayer (Whip drops) and Runecrafting (Double Natures). I also did study the market quite a bit and got quite adept at Grand Exchange merchanting, but I did that minimally (I like seeing my hard work pan out into GP, not through merchanting or staking, even if it is infinitely faster).

Questions and Answers

Q: Why don't you just sell a partyhat and convert that to 07 GP, you'd be able to quickly take over 07 and do your 99 RC goal, if you did?

A: As mentioned above, I like feeling like I've earned something. Because Jagex allows EoC-07 gold piece swaps, I feel it is fully legitimate to earn EoC gold to help fund my 07 account, especially since EoC gold is considerably less valuable per million than 07. However, I don't want to fund it through already earned GP, as that I do feel is not as fair or rewarding. Also, my partyhats and rares hold an incredible amount of nostalgic value to me. A far greater value than any dollar amount. Why? Well, I'll tell you why. In 2005, I started Runescape. I had a good friend who also played with me. My first ever Partyhat, a Red, was bought by me off of him. I still have that very partyhat. My friend died of a heroin overdose this past year, and I'd never think of parting with it now, especially since I wouldn't even after he had quit and was still alive.

Q: Runescape is dying, why not get rid of your stuff now?

A: Runescape is indeed not as popular as it once was, but I have never been one to "follow the crowd" so to speak. I have a very comfortable living situation and I make good money outside of video games. I do not need to get rid of my Runescape items. Like I said, their nostalgic value hold more value to me than money. I have never found myself strapped for cash in real life, and I thank god for that. I understand some people won't understand that, but I couldn't care less. People have attachments to all sorts of things, it happens. It's life. At the end of it I don't think I'm going to be worrying about not getting rid of my Runescape pixels . I respect people that make it a business, but I have no interest in doing that.

Q: Can I have some GP?

A: If you give me a compelling reason on this thread towards needing financial Runescape help, I will seriously consider your plea. I am a very generous player and love helping people out. However, please don't lie when telling why you'd need help, please keep it genuine. The truth is all I need. I will not be able to honor every request, obviously, but I will try to consider your situation in helping you out. I mean that.

Q: Can we be friends on Runescape/Skype?

A: Absolutely. I am always looking to be more social in Runescape, especially since the community isn't as strong as it was before. Feel free to PM me your skype or runescape username and I will see to it that I add you.

Q: What is your Runecrafting level? Slayer level? Xp in both? How'd you get it?
A: I am 99 Runecrafting, with 21 million XP in the skill. This was ALL earned through Abyss Runecrafting Nature Runes. I made enough money to get all of my partyhats from 2005-2008, so I got them when they were still 500M or less (most of them way less than 500M, I got my first red off my friend at 55M).

I am 94 slayer. I got 90 slayer in 2008 and then stopped til I recently started leveling again. I have never quit Runescape, but there have been months at a time that I have not played. So that is why I am not 99 yet. Plus, it's still pretty time consuming, even with bonus xp and the best gear, at least for me it is.

Q: Wow, you've been playing Runescape for 9 years, how are you not sick of it?

A: I play when I want to play, and I think that's key to it being in my life for so long. As cliche as it is to say, yeah, Runescape was my childhood, for better or for worse. I'd only say I was addicted to it in my Middle School days, after that my time management got a lot better.

Q: What other games do you like, besides Runescape?

A: I'm an avid Microsoft fan. I have been with them since the original Xbox. I still have my original Xbox, of which I play NFL Street, Halo 2, NFL Street 2, NBA Street Vol. 2, NHL Hitz 2002, NFL 2k5, and a few others. I own an Xbox 360. My favorite titles to ever come out for that were Dead Rising 1/2, Skyrim, Diablo 3, Halo 3, NHL 09, and many others. I love sports games, rpg games, hack and slash games, you name it. I also own an Xbox One, of which I currently have Dead Rising 3 and Ryse: Son of Rome. My favorite game ever though? Final Fantasy VII (7) for the Playstation. Cloud Strife is my boy.

Q: What do you do in real life?

A: I am a chemical engineer, well, aspiring chemical engineer, I get my degree in Winter of 2014, hopefully, if things go awry, then Spring 2015. I have worked 2 different internships (paid, thank god), that have bolstered my work experience greatly.

Q: Favorite Music? Favorite TV Shows?

A: Music: I like The All American Rejects, KMFDM, Linkin Park, Blue October, and countless other groups. TV Shows: Breaking Bad, Arrow, Smallville, Lost, Supernatural, Flashpoint, NCIS, House, Sons of Anarchy, etc. etc.

Q: What is your timetable to finish this goal?

No timetable. I could probably crack out 40k natures a day if I wanted to, it being Summer + having no responsibility. But I doubt I'll do it at that ridiculous a clip.

As for Slayer, I'm not sure, I only do that when I feel like it. I am 94 right now, at 8M xp. I have 600k bonus experience ready to be utilized.

Please check out my 07 RC thread, as now most of my RC will be done in 07. Seems like a more worthwhile goal to make 1m Natures in 07, not EoC. I will still be doing a good amount of natures on EoC though.

Bump. Been on 07 a lot lately. Will probably sprinkle in some Slayer training this weekend and make a serious push for 95 slayer.

 

Get that 95 slayer, how much xp from?
