BTS: NEW Invention Skill

So you can deconstruct items. I am predicting that made items will now be in demand and more people will start making stuff just to deconstruct. That means items that have been made already will increase in price.

Items I think will increase:
- armours
- potions
- weapons

are things that you can deconstruct and requires higher level to make.

I think this invention skill sounds like shite

 

To be honest, it has a decent idea behind it and it could be really good for the game.

But then again at the end of the day it's jagex, so yeah it's going to be complete trash.

 

Well I mean if my prediction is right... it will actually boost the economy because people will once again start making stuff instead of just skilling to "x" level.

On topic tho..

The skill looks really, really interesting. Only downside is that there will be a huge increase in the amount of items in game, making it even harder for new players to grasp the entire game mechanic. For advanced players though, this should be a whole new level of enjoyment. I don't even play Rs3, but I can say it looks promising.

 

I don't think new players will have much of a problem, the deconstructed new items will always be related to its "constructed" counterpart which was always there before - it should be intuitive to link the 2 together

 

It all depends on exactly how many items this will remove from the game, and what you are able to do with the deconstructed items. It could potentially be a very good moneysink.

 

Possible, but I just think that this skill will introduce wayyy too many new items into the game; as if the current items in game are not enough to confuse new players.

Guess we'll just have to wait & see though.

im personally rather excited for the new skill, sounds like a fairly usefull skill,+ i get the chance to be rank one for atleast 20seconds ^^

 

When I first heard about the skill, I thought... another skill and this time we're adding a different catch "elite master skill". But after seeing the video, the skill doesn't sound half bad but its prerequisites are interesting and a first. I don't think we've seen any skill yet that requires other skills before training it.

I guess we'll see if this one is great or just another fluke...

 

Meh, they fucked up. Will just confuse the absolute hell out of new players and will just make potential returning players detest the enormous amount of change having already occurred.

I brought up item-leveling in the past and it pretty much flew under the radar. Games like DFO and Elsword have a better gear-leveling system than RS will, it's more simple to understand and depending on how it'd be implemented could do virtually the same as Invention, but without the confusion.

Oh well, guess i'll just sit back and enjoy as things burn.

The whole point of the skill is just to be an "item sink". Pretty hilarious they made a whole skill just for one purpose. But oh well, they couldn't think of anything else.
