New pumpkin pet!

Looks pretty cool. The only pets I had to override my familiars were Elvis Pressie and Mimic, so I'm very happy to have this new one





Thoughts on the pet? Other rewards? I really wanted the draynor outfit and almost mistakenly bought it instead of the pet... I was expecting it to look like Count Draynor does in-game... However his current model is pretty cool while the override from event is all cloth and looks kinda dumb...

Event is meh, compared to the old style puzzle events.

It's an okay event, reminds me of the broom from Howl's moving castle lol

 

Every new cosmetic override that comes into the game disappoints me. The staff looks cool tho, I'll admit that,

Darkest Dream - I agree the puzzle events were usually better, but I do enjoy this event more than the past couple, maybe more than that(can't remember past deathcon lol)


Zethorum - Never seen Howl's Moving Castle - Did a quick google search. I do enjoy most anime though, so I'll have to look into it lol.


Dunworry - Most of the overrides disappoint me as well. I do like some of the paid ones though... V's outfit is pretty neat, the one's I'm wearing I like, obviously lol. Do you mean the broom staff override from event? Or what I'm wielding? Because I'm wielding a scythe haha (not sure if you actively play rs3, so not sure if you know the items).


Timms - Indeed Also has an emote, throws it's had ontop of the players head lol.

Fuck RS3, load of bullshit in my opinion.

 

What does the pet do?

 

Don't get me wrong, the environment was cool. The community boss fight was cool.

Sadly it wasn't very engaging and lacked difficulty. Click around the boat, click some things on a bridge, wait 5-10 minutes, click boss that dies in 30 seconds. Repeat 20 times. After doing it 2-3x I was BORED and wanted to get my herb burner and get out.

The rewards aren't great either. The XP lamps are a total waste of time, the cat pet is meh, the herb burner is intriguing but unless you're really poor or iron man it isn't especially useful.

 

Looks pretty cool man. The scythe looks weird as fuck tho.

Seriously what does it do? Purely cosmetic?

It overrides familiars, so it can be a pack yak, steel titan, or whatever. It also has a unique emote, though I haven't tested it, I'm assuming emote is only when you call the actual pet, not use it as a familiar override.

It's currently best 2h weapon in-game, and as I am Grimm, I'd say it fits me

I agree. I was going to do it on the account I'm selling too to make it more sellable, but I finished getting all of the rewards on my main last night and just don't feel like getting them on the other account... Maybe I'll get em sometime before event ends lol

Yes, I agree to a point, however, I can't look unique from every single other maxed account out there without them. lol

Yeah it's pretty awesome. If you like it go to google images or the RS wiki and find the gif of it's emote. it's pretty fun Pet throws its head over the players lol

 

I agree with Darkest Dream, the event was horrible. Jagex seriously can't even bring out seasonal items anymore. I miss the old days of logging in on Christmas event (any seasonal event) and doing a cool quest for Santa or something and getting something that felt like Christmas, nowadays it's just grind X, get Y = stupid irrelevant item.
