Account Advice - Coming back after EOC

Hey guys, so I quit awhile ago now and went to old school RS after the EOC update. I am very very lost in regards to all the new gear and PKing styles out there now and need advice. What would you do with an account that has the stats seen below if you wanted to be a beast PK machine?

 

I would....probs turm pure...gear wise...I don't really know...I am more on a 07 player lol

 

Thanks, does anyone have any gear suggestions? I've been looking around but there is so much new gear these days it is doing my head in...

 

Are you talking more legacy or eoc pking? I think for legacy people still use ags

 

Pures are 100% dead content in EoC and you will get utterly shredded by gear if your defense isn't 99.

Jagex severely fucked up with EoC in the sense that one of their goals was literally to do away with pures because in their mind it wasn't playing the game the way it was intended. That was literally their stance on pures when they gave us the 200 combat level system. They tried to bring pures back with giving us the option to reset defense and "reverting" the CB system back to 138 (defense and magic are still part of the combat level so it's pointless).

In the end, any pure is quite honestly going to just get demolished. PK'ing is pretty much dead on EoC, you'll find the same circle-jerk of individuals and one-itemers/loafers. Nothing really special, even though people try to justify the dead wildy with War Bands. lol it's a joke tbh, Legacy-only PvP isn't entirely dead, but it's struggling.

As for styles of PK'ing. If you want to talk hybridding, it's a dead art. You'll find the majority of people running a single gear setup and with a single switch to a staff or something, no real variation. Mostly due to the fact abilities and the weapon you're using matter more than the appropriate gear.

People who dick-ride EoC PvP can tell you otherwise, but just go in full hides and start casting barrage, I can 100% guarantee you that you'll be hitting enough to dub RS3 PvP an utter joke, because it is. This is why you'll find any number of RS3 PK'ing videos that involve usually gano visor, and hide tops/bottoms, using death lotus darts and some staff as their "KO" weapon.

Am I bashing RS3's PvP? Yes, because they fucked everyone over with how bad it is. EoC itself isn't even that bad, it's just how garbage the gear/stat system is now.

tl;dr- max out, mains are the only viable option for PK'ing now. RS3 PvP is virtually dead except for WB. Legacy can pump out DPS more than EoC if its accuracy was higher. EoC still has higher DPS, but I find it monotonous.

 

I use ags in legacy and it has awesome special attack.
