I don't care whatsoever that people RWT, sell accounts, the whole 9 yards, but what irks me is when they work for Jagex they have this whole "holier-than-thou" persona. Especially when put into positions that are in charge of deciding who gets to be an F/P. Mod (Mod Infinity). Hypocrisy much? And some people wonder why the RS forum is such a cesspool, opting out for Twitter and Reddit.

People don't realize that J. Mods are full of more shit than you'd know.

A J. Mod that I know personally is full of it is Mod Lee, Regicidal. The guy who was rank 7th, if I remember correctly, in Attack on RS3 used to crash Castle Wars boosting FC's, guy's name was Mida Veel 2 or something. Mod Lee runs a boosting FC, during this time there were a few Castle Wars pro's crashing their games, multi-logging to find what worlds they would hop to, and then wait for the game to start, then enter and cap/ruin the game. Not sure how long this went on for, but Mida Veel was later perm-banned out of the blue. No one else was to my knowledge, but seeing as he was the most vocal, and would literally stalk their FC for hours on end, one would assume the most obvious conclusion.


I'm just waiting to see who the next J. Mod is to go down in flames.

 

If the JMod had interest in RuneScape before given a job, chances are, IMO, that they're gonna go downhill.

Eh, there's a lot more than one might think.

Mod Infinity is widely disliked by a lot of fansite staff because he effectively 'kissed ass' to get Jagex to promote his site constantly. Having been in the fansite staff loop in the past it's very clear that favouritism was around for fansites long ago. Although I requested to be placed in the skype meeting on behalf of the fansite I worked for no more than an hour before the meeting began I was left out, along with all other staff members from our fansite. We were effectively shunned (repeatedly) for developing our site and being able to compete with the likes of RuneZone.

What happened when Mod Infinity took over the CM role that deals with fansites? RZ got even more exposure and all the other sites got a lot less - You'd be looking at 2 or 3 RZ posts for every other fansite that took part. He deserves all the hate he gets for that even though Jagex are using it as PR to get him off the hook from everything.

tl;dr - Jagex don't really care who they employ, and if they make a bad choice they'll just use some excuse to move eyes away from the facts. Nothing new I guess, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were a couple of large traders on this site who work at Jagex.

Edit: There was some drama over court documents a long time ago. Something to do with one fansite ddos'ing RZ or some kind of harrassment. I don't have pictures of all that atm as I'd have to go years back in skype chats on old pc's, but I can confirm that is actually valid.

To be honest I never really noticed this all until Mod what's-his-face... Something starting with a D or G? He used to moderate the HLF and was fired in 2013. I heard some rumor he had something to do with Fishy? Not sure.

Just amazes me how this kind of stuff goes on in this company.

Question:

Seeing as they recently got a new CEO, what do you think his take would be on it? It's just my impression that a lot of other J. Mods don't necessarily care enough to fire people who are obviously parasitic in nature, since they've all been around for years. However, the new CEO has zero "ties" with Jagex, as in historic/emotional ties.

I highly doubt the new CEO knows about half the shit that has happened with current/past J. Mods and i'd be interested to know whether or not he'd actually take action. (I say this with high hopes, but I know that more than likely nothing will happen whatsoever)

 

Not shocking that when you give someone a crown they act differently.

 

There's so much opportunity with such powers and the temptation can be high. It's unethical and wrong to do but people do it in the real world every day so this is no different.

You don't even know the half of it lol I talk so much shit on him that he has banned me from the forums so many times for random things, and within a few hours the ban is lifted by another J. Mod. I still have the messages in my inbox.

The amount of corruption at Jagex is profound imo I don't see how so many people get away with so much shit.

Anyone remember Mod Daezhun? Another well known faggot in HLF/RS forums in general. Got fired in 2013, pretty sure it had something to do with Fishy. What's funny is it was reported as "oh they were laid off" (among other J. Mods). Everyone knew Daezhun was a shady queer, was glad to see him gone.

 

I thought Pips had worked with the previous CEO for a few years before taking up the role? Either way, I doubt he's interested in searching through the actions of all low level staff.

I remember him. Doesn't he have a personal HLF account under than name/had one under that name in the past?

 

Really not sure. Only J. Mod I know who's personal account matches their J. Mod account is Mod Ramen. His IGN at the time was Flying Ramen I think at Castle Wars, his girlfriend played also and I think was Miss Ramen or something.
