Noxious Longbow or dual-wielded Ascension Crossbows?

Hey RSG, I had a question today about what weapon I should get when I reach 90 ranged. I am aware that the noxious longbow is better for PKing and I am aware that Ascension Crossbows are better for most PVM. With both of these things stated, which one should I purchase?

If you know what each is better for then get the one where you'll use it more. If you PvP more then get Noxious and vice versa. I'd personally get the ascensions because imo cbows>lbows

 

Unless you plan to PK or you spend a large amount of your time killing Tormented Demons, you should pick ascensions.

Not only does needle strike set their damage output somewhere around 3% higher than the nox bow when used by an experienced PvM'er, it also gives you the opportunity to use a shield (Even higher dps in certain situations and it opens up the door to Vorago/Kalphite king with t90 weapons).

Ascensions have a higher damage output than any other weapon in the game. They only fall behind mage in PvM situations because of debuff spells, but unless you have 800m to spend on a set of seismics I wouldn't worry about that.

 

In my opinion the items are quites similiar in damage per second, it is mostly what you prefer actually. As for me, I'd go for ascensions. You could also try and borrow both for as little as 500k for a day and try them both out and then make your decission.

 

If you're going to be doing slayer, ascensions.
Nox is Bossing/PvP

 

I'm curious. Other than TD's, where would Nox be better than ascensions? I can't think of any.

 

The best setup IMO.

Nox staff/ascensions/drygores ls(all drygores do same dps, longswords are hot tho.)

Grab a nox scythe for updates coming. Just cus.

 

From what i've seen/know, if you bring a nox bow you're bringing no risk and it hits hard. But if you're bossing or doing slayer, you should use ascs because they're fast.
