    I just purchased an account off of somebody through a middleman and I got a message saying my account has been locked due to unauthorized access.
    Message I got

    ''We regret to inform you that your account has been locked to protect it from unauthorised access.

    In order to unlock your account, you will need to reset your password. To do this please go to the game and click the ‘Forgot Password?’ link.

    Follow the on screen instructions and fill out the form, providing as much information as possible.
    Remember to write down your query tracking ID if you are provided one.''


    I talked to the seller and he cooperated and gave me the info I needed to send an appeal. But once I send the appeal in seconds I get an email from Jagex saying my Password request has been denied? So I went and tracked the appeal and this message pops up.

    ''Denied

    A member of our Player Support staff has carefully reviewed your appeal and unfortunately, your appeal has been denied.''


    I also sent in about 3 appeals and all with the same automated message, does anyone know what the heck is going on?

    Well to start, there is clearly some ownership troubles with the account.

    If it is an E-Mail, it could be a Phisher attempting to hack the account back from you. For now, don't reply to that E-Mail and see what happens.

    It doesn't seem like something JaGeX would send out.

    Try getting the person who sold you the account to send in the appeal. They may be denying yours because you were the one who recently gained access to the account, who Jagex believe to have 'unauthorised access'.

    Exactly this. If you can contact the original owner, no doubt he'd be able to recover it for you.

    Alright, thanks guys I'll contact the seller and ask if he can recover it for me.

    Amasian if they flag your I.P you'll get an instant denial. Be sure to have the original owner recover it and I would suggest changing your I.P to a different location if possible. No matter what information you have, you'll never be able to recover it.

    The original owner has to send the ticket in. They can tell it's not their IP trying to recover.

    The original owner will have a better chance of recovering the account.

    Ask him to recover it for you. He should be able to if he has all the correct information.

    Personally I always wait a few hours before logging onto a account if I buy one. (So that the IP doesnt jump from like America to Russia).

    tl;dr Ask the original owner to recover for you.

    Did the original owner have the IP Thing on there account? where only they can login from THERE Ip

    Yeah, it looks like he recovered the account and is now ignoring me :/
