    Rs perma ban question

I was banned under 3 counts of gold farming and website advertising while my account got hacked months ago.
Only recently I have been able to recover it, and learned I was permabanned.

What are the chances of being able to win the appeal if someone else had truly hacked my account and did this.

EDIT: Got my account unbanned and all offenses squashed, they reset my account back to tutorial island, they never mentioned that they would do that, sent them an inbox. They should definitely mention that, bought mems just to see tutorial island.

EDIT#2: whats the point of recovering an account if it gets reset?

The chances are slim because the account was still botted or farmed on so ye chances are close to 0%

If you're definitely on a different IP and were hacked, tell them in the appeal and see what the response is. They will be able to check IPs and see if what you said is true.

If it is true, the chances are slim but better than nothing that you'd be unbanned.

If you were truly hacked, the appeal rate is much higher. They won't answer within the appeal centre itself, your best bet would be emailing them directly with all the information you have; to allow them to better determine the outcome.

well I know that I have not accessed the account in 6 months or so and just recovered it using the ip I used to make the account. I know for a fact that whoever used my account was a serious gold farmer who most likely isn't from Canada.

Honestly, there is a higher chance of them accepting the recovery if you have proof, but in my opinion it probably wouldn't get accepted because it seems rather like an excuse. (not really to offend you in any way, but honestly if you where working at jagex it does actually seem like an excuse unless you have solid proof)

what would I call solid proof? not touching the game for 6 months straight and then finding someone hacked my acc and got it banned. Pretty sure the ip should be enough

In my opinion your best bet as far as proof is concerned is requesting that they run an IP check on previous users of/access to your account. They would be able to see logins from somewhere else for six months. However six months is a long time, so it's possible they would see it differently.

    Best of luck, whatever happens.

    Unlikely from my experience.

Ending your email with: "I really wanted to renew my membership and play too!.." should help your odds.

Your chance of getting it unbanned is much higher if it actually was hacked and the offences occured while it was hacked.

Email them instead and include details of the account(when was it hack etc). I don't think they ever read ban appeals and emailing them only takes them a few days to reply. If the offences were committed on a IP different from the original one and you are able to log on with the original IP, then I think your chances are pretty decent. Goodluck

So now you have your account back but everything is reset. So are you going to play again and try and get to where you were?

Maybe you should've edited it in before you bumped it. I wasn't spamming I was telling you that it was a pointless bump.

Anyway to why you would've been reset. It was probably due to the account being banned for gold farming. Obviously the person that hacked you ran a bot farm and when you get banned for gold farming the account is reset. I'm sure if you send an email since they did un ban you they must know that it wasn't you that was gold farming so I would suggest posting on RSOF, submitting an appeal or just send an email with (urgent) in the title so they read it.

I believe they're not currently viewing appeals for perm banned accounts, your only chance is to email them.
