The ULTIMATE Jagex Troll

So last night, after capping at my clan citadel, I logged off. About 5 minutes later, I attempted to log back on, because I'd forgot to shove a partyhat into the Grand Exchange to flip, just to find out that I had been permanently banned for macroing, apparently.

When I asked to see the evidence of the offence, I receive the message "Sorry, but we cannot show you the evidence for this offence."

Now this would be all well and good had I ACTUALLY been using a macro, but I have NEVER touched my main account with a macro, nor with any goods gained from an account that has used a macro.

All my other accounts, the ones that are basically entirely botted, including some gold farmers, are perfectly fine. Yet my 100% legit main gets banned.

Gave them a pretty lengthy appeal but meh, I'm not hopeful. If they've decided to ban an account without even showing me their fabricated evidence, I stand little chance of getting them to own up to it by granting me an appeal tbh. Also, I'm moving apartment this weekend, so I doubt I'd even see their reply if they bother to look at the appeal

Hopefully they don't start banning your other accounts too! I'd stop botting for awhile on your bot accounts just to be safe.

 

This is happening to alot of people lately, there's been a few posts on RSOF about people getting banned for botting when they haven't.. The weird thing is that you've been hit with a perm ban on your first offence, unless we are not hearing the full story here definently take it up with jagex.

Yeah I got hit with a perm ban yesterday myself. They are getting sneaky!

 

They take about a month to respond to appeals, FYI

 

If you didn't bot you wouldn't been banned,even if u didn't bot on that 1 account but on your other 1 they can still track it down from the ip.
So i assume they did that,considering you admitted your main is 100% not botted but youb otted on your other accounts.

 

Unless they've fucked something up like that time they had banned a ton of people and it was a mistake, I doubt they'll reverse the ban or even look at your appeal. Your best shot is to email them. I had an account banned for rwt in january and to the date the appeal is pending lol.

Also the reason why it says they wont show evidence is to prevent botting communities from knowing how they detect them.

 

My friend got banned for botting on his main and the request has been pending for months, they don't even read appeals anymore apparently.
Your best bet would be to appeal under the parent/guardian thing as I've heard they do HAVE to reply to them, or they do because they want to make a good impression on the parents.

 

**Seriously** do not think they'd go through that kind of trouble and not also ban the botted accounts.

A friend of mine's wife also was banned for botting when she hadn't in OSRS. He had to get a hold of a J-Mod, twice, in-game before they did anything. The first mod ignored him completely but the second looked into it. Hopefully you get the consideration you deserve, but if not you can track down an in-game J-mod, contact them via Facebook/Twitter, you can email their billing email, etc.

They never show evidence with macroing bans unfortunately.
Did you EVER log into the botting client with your main? I know bans are going around a lot for that atm

Definitely my first offence (I have 2 previous offences from years ago that resulted in 24 hour mutes, but nothing regarding botting).

Well in that case, how come the botted accounts are not banned?

If you ever had one account caught for RWT on the ip they won't hesitate to ban any other accounts on the ip, legit or not. They don't need an excuse to do it once they know you are a RWTer.

They do not show macro evidence otherwise botters would know what to do to avoid getting banned.

Just reminds me that my appeal from 3 years ago is still pending... I can't believe they'll just never respond to it?

 

Happened to me not too long ago.

I was muted initially for "Item Scamming", which well. Who the hell trades when you have GE anyways? The next morning, the mute was changed to a Macroing Minor, and I was like wtf, JamFlex up to their no-good antics as usual

 

I find it kind of odd that they're perm banning people right off the bat. What happened to the whole bot watch system? Wasn't the idea to give people a slap on the wrist and let them know that they've been caught, basically scaring them from doing it again? Its so weird hearing that they've been perm banning like this.


OH, also Ziggily, what were you doing/what client/(f2p/members?) when you got banned?

 

well they trace all your accounts, so they prob decided to ban the one that u like best
