Can someone explain magic to me?

I havn't played runescape since about '10 so..

How does magic work now?

Is there seriously no more ancient magics? Lunar magics?

Do you still need runes to cast spells?

My other question is: Is it worth playing RS3?

I just looked through the worlds..no more than 200 players in each one, is 8pm a non-peak hour or is that seriously the playerbase runescape now has in its dying years..?

Did majority of the players move to 07'scape?

How many players in total regularly play EOC scape versues 07 scape

 

Magic spells still require runes, but half of any type of damage(melee/range/mage) on runescape is dealt through using abilities instead of the hit itself. lunar and ancients still exist, e.g you can still pk with veng etc.

 

Just like Valkyre said.. they use abilities now. Just go to the magic abilities tab and hover over one to read all about it.. then you will know what it can do. Magic is a good stat on rs3. They basically evened out the combat triangle so that range/mage/melee will be equally powerful

 

Pkers moved to 07scape. Skillers/PvM's stayed with EOC.

 

Both are dying. Runescape07 ids updated, 60 people on all worlds.
