No, GP prices won't go up because of the update. Maybe, *MAYBE* for a super short time while there's a small hype and older players come back for a bit, but it won't last. Gold will still constantly be coming into the game and traded around and they're not limiting the ability to trade/gain the gold. So, I don't believe so.

 

Doubt it lol, I don't think its gonna be the same as when 2007 scape came out, far from it.

 

Prices may rise for a week or so but they'll drop again, sad to say but EOC will never be THAT popular again, we can always hope.

 

There is absolutely no chance of this being the case, certainly not to the extent of the price of 07scape gold.

When 07scape was released, there was NO gold on the game. Everybody started fresh with nothing, and everybody had to work from the bottom, therefore gold was in high demand, and selling for ridiculous amounts.

With RS3, nothing changes, the vast amount of gold that is already in EOC, will remain in EOC. Sure a few new players may start, but the chance of them needing enough gold to make a "Big jump in gold price" is slim to none.

 

No, gold won't go up. RS3 is just a graphics update, it doesn't affect gold at all.

 

Seeing as the gold is already in the game, unless there is a mass amount of new players, gold will hardly move, and then it'll only move a few cents/M if there is 50k new players, as there is literally that much gold circulating in the game.

Won't affect gp prices. The only way that would happen would be if a ton of people suddenly wanted to buy gold, the demand goes higher than the supply. Other than that, prices should stay the same.

 

i think at the beginning, since bots have to get fixed, so goldfarmers can't farm gp

 

the prices have gone up recently due to rs3 before a m was 20 odd cents now its gone to like 35 or so, and i think they will go higher for a couple of weeks due to bots not working due to the graphical update

It will never go up for a longer period of time.
It is the same with any other mmorpg market. It will drop, drop and drop.

There will be shorter period of times like right now where it goes up for a short period of time (bots are down, current stock will be bought out soon)
