EOC Cash Compared to 07 Cash

Ok well I havent played runescape in about 2 years. To be honest I don't understand the whole concept of why mills are so cheap now and what the difference between eoc and 07 gp are. I only play eoc, but I dont get why there is such a big price discrepancy. Isn't it just as hard to earn money still on eoc? Therefor why would 100m be so cheap. Can anyone enlighten me on the whole scenario?

 

07Scape started fresh -- all level 1, no economy. Meanwhile, EOC has hundreds of trillions of GP available in the economy, and trillions in the black market.

Even though botting how now "boosted" the 07Scape supply of gols, it's still 11 years behind the gold supply of EOC.

 

Because there is so much GP within the game, it becomes easily obtainable, and with everyone competing with eachother the price drops. Whereas with 07 it isn't as easily obtained.

 

When the game started 10k gp on 07 was actually 10m on eoc.

 

Ah that makes basic sense, here I am with a college degree and a minor in economics and it is as simple as a general economy. So everyone started at level 1 and now have to rebuild all the way back to their original level. When was the 07 update released?

 

February 23rd 2013. It was a whole new start. EoC cash economy got ruined by staking/dicing as people were using a lot of duped gold, as there was a duping glitch, aswell as the fact that bots are everywhere, which also applies with OSRS (bots), which will force the price of OSRS gold down eventually.

 

Why are there more bots now? Is it easier to bot?

 

07 gold is a lot more expensive than EOC gold.

 

Jagex let people goldfarm EoC mercilessly for half a decade, that's why the currency isn't worth anything. There are comparatively less goldfarming bots on 07, and they ban them frequently, as opposed to EoC where you only get banned for botting once you hit 200m exp.

 

Other than the increase of gold farmers as mentioned above, a lot of players had quit due to the new combat system. It's actually much better to play WoW(World of WarCraft) since EoC is now very much the same in terms of game-play.

 

EoC gp is going down because its pretty much useless.
