EOC gp price drop

Hey,

I know there was a few similar threads in the past month, but In the past week, the EOC gp prices has dropped nearly the most I can remember. Like 2 weeks ago you could sell eoc gp for at least 0.3$/M while now you can barely sell them for like 0.2 if not less.

I would like to hear your views on:

1) Reason this drop is happening (like RS3 comming, too much bots in the game etc)

and

2) How will this situation continue to evolve

I run a little business with EOC gp and Im not sure if I should hop to old school RS. I would not like to do this coz I wouldn't like to see this great project screwed up by bots.

 

Because now that Oldschool is out, all the players went to that so now eoc is just full of gold farming bots and no players to buy the gold.

 

The amount of gold available compared to the amount of goldbuyers is too high, and those who are goldfarming consistently are only making it worse for themselves

 

It's because of massive under-cutters like you, Eida. Too many new sellers undercutting each other.

Totally understandable though. Gotta compete somehow, right?

The market should correct itself, it always has in the past. Hopefully these new awesome updates from Jagex will bring in more players to soak up the gold.

1) pretty sure it's due to how most players want to play 07 now and there are too many gold farmers compared to buyers.
2) i think it will continue to decrease until around june/july when the kiddies get out of school

 

No, its because failing 07 gp price, because you can exchange 07gp for rsgp at some clans.

It could be worse case ,where big companys noticed rs 3 comming up and with ability to play it on smatphones and tablets ... they are lowering the price of rsgp to stock up as much as possible before RS3 out. I have around 25b+- and I will not sell it now for sure, I will just wait for RS3

The reasons of RS gold dropping is purely because of a supply/demand chain. When people left eoc for osrs servers, there was less demand, and more gold is getting made constantly, so there is supply. Either way, until there is more demand (a load of bans or new players), the price won't rise.

 

I dont agree with you ,because price of rsgp in EOC went up with releasing of 07 servers , it was because there are clans who exchnage EOC for 07 and back. Therefore actual price depend on them. But could be also something else. I do not think its demand and supply ,because botter went to 07, why woud someone bot in EOC where he gets .2/m if he can get 5USD/M ..that pretty strange..

 

What the hell is RS3?

 

That's not really a RS3. It's just a few especially graphic updates comming with HTML5 and Jagex just proudly call it RS3.

 

I think will rise when rs3 comes out

 

It possibly could, if it would cause that the old players won't quit and if it would attract some new players.
