How to Become a P-Mod?

How does one become a p-mod these days, and how are they chosen?

They're chosen by Jagex, obviously. They check your past history, offences, etc.

Have an account that is a couple of years old with no blackmarks, send in decent reports every once and a while. Usually you have to get Jagex's attention somehow..

Try getting in contact with a JMOD/emailing jagex saying that you feel like you've been overlooked/ or something along those lines.

I log in from tons of IP adress around in my area, because I play RS everywhere. Do they check all of my IPs?

 

Asskissing and being active on forums

 

As stated above, I believe if you are active on the forums, report happy (for valid reasons, not overblowing it), helpful, and contact a Jmod, I'm sure they will look into it. Getting their attention is the most important part, easiest way to do that is being helpful on the forums.

 

Your age matters too. Most pmod are adults with proper moral attitude and all.

 

Report accurately, Account must have almost never been recovered, Never have any serious secuirty issues listed on the account, Change your password frequently with good passwords, take advantage of all security features, have no serious infractions, treat other players with respect, be active on Runescape, GET LUCKY!

 

On the RS Website there is an area for PMODs to make suggestions for who should become a player moderator. These used to be sold on Sythe as a matter of fact, but now clearly it has stopped. That is one way.

 

I still hear about pmods offering to "suggest" people for money. Someone wanted something like 200 mil gold back when it was near $.70 per mil. Of course they made a point of saying there was no sure chance you were gonna get it (really meaning almost none). Pmods are pointless anyway, really just players who get more attention for their reports. Plenty have still been banned for botting if you wanted to try and get pmod for safety .

 

The easiest method to get a P-Mod character is to buy them. I've somebody around selling such account for a very expensive price. Otherwise, just try the suggestion above but it's not of a guarantee that you will be given such authority.

 

IP changes are likely to get the account locked or demoted, so I would be very careful about doing that. It happened to me once.

I thought Jagex disregards any issues relating about IP's.

 

You have to get the J-Mod's attention somehow. I saw a person a long time ago sitting at the spawn point for new players and giving them advice and items to help start them out, that is probably a good way to get noticed.

Edit: And basically anytime you see someone breaking a rule tell them to stop, but be polite.
