Maybe coming back? Explain new update

i only played rs for pking and staking. When all the new updates with dung/summoning/chaotics and all that shit i gave up trying to keep up. I really loved the old way of pking since it was so much easier for me. Does this new 07 update mean we all have to restart new accounts starting fresh. Does it also mean that only weapons and skillz from that era exist? Also how will the new character names work? My last question is will it be wildy or bounty hunter? I remember they introduced bounty hunter around that time.

Yes, have to start fresh, idk about the other questions of yours.

 

1. Start fresh.
2. Account names will not be fresh, so you start with whatever current account name you have. Meaning, Zezima, Elvemage, etc will not become available.
3. There may be updates depending on the amount of votes we get, or they may even update it regardless of votes.
4. No sure on BH or OG wild. I would personally love the BH craters, not running around in wild and getting shitty PVP stat/random loots.

Edit: BH craters were released in December of 2007. The full backup that Jagex is using is cut off at August 10th, 2007.

So to start, GWD and from then on will not be in game.

 

We are given a fresh account using our current login. Everything like summoning/soulwars/dung/godswords is gone. It's going to be crazy.

 

BRAND NEW ECONOMY

This is the most exciting thing I can think of about these new servers. Although I know gold will come into the game a lot faster than people think, it will still be a resource trade market (i.e. buying things with raw materials, not gold) for a few weeks.
