Will display names transfer to 2007 Runescape?

Has this been confirmed? I know they said we will be able to login with our main accounts and they are working on making the friends list working across each server but just wanted to check if it's been confirmed? Thanks.

 

If they've got a Backup from August 07 will it be like opening a time capsule upon loging in?

For example you log in and your standing where your character was with everything you had back then or will we all start from 0?

 

No they are simply using that back up to build the server off. Everyone will start from scratch meaning level 3 with no stats or bank.

 

I would assume so. How else would they do it? I doubt they'd have a seperate account settings for the different server; so all your settings for your account (display name, recoveries etc.) will be on your account for the new server.

 

We have the same account name for all Jagex games, they even said you will be able to talk with EoC people through friendslist just like you can today from RSC.

I hope they do, as i have a rare display name on my main account, but its not the end of the world, i also have an original rare name on my other account ill use if they dont transfer display names.

 

I'm pretty sure they do although not certain. It would be chaos if they didn't because everyone would spend the first day of EoC rushing to get a rare name.

 

They'd have to because what about all the people with email logins, they couldn't seriously have an email for a username.

I think you will have your RS name that you have now.

 

I'd guess it was your log in name, they obviously didn't have display names in 2007 ..

 

Your Display Name will be the same as your existing Display Name. A moderator has already confirmed this to me.

 

Yes you will. It transfers to RSC and FunOrb so I can't see why it wouldn't to this.

 

given its a complete new server, ppl r gonna be rushing to get names imo, thats if names dont transfer.
