No but seriously, even though I'll probably renew my membership I wouldn't get too attached. This is almost like Jagex's last ditch effort to save a dying game, and not only that but it seems like this poll is purely money-driven.

50,000 votes, come on everyone knew it would reach that. The 2007 servers were coming back regardless.

750,000? are there even that many people that play anymore? Dudes, Jagex is going to CASH IN.

 

O well, i haven't spent a penny as of yet, and i only plan on doing that $2 for 2 months membership trick to vote twice/have membership on 2 accounts

 

Few years back, they had 1.4m votes for Free Trade and Wildy but I think that's because it was members and free to play players together. 750k does seem a lot but its possible as many players who quit will come back from the years they left and people will also create more than 1 account and vote.

I do see this as a last ditch effort but interested to see how this turns out.

 

I feel like Jagex set it up knowing the votes would fall between 50 and 500k (I mean that's a weird range why not 50 then 100?), so at minimum they grab an extra $5 out of everyone choosing to pay and they barely do any work.

Great to see 2007 Rs coming back, but I doubt it will survive for long especially if everyone has to start from nothing again.

Has it been confirmed there will be no godwars? I mean it was released in 2007. I'd personally like to see godwars I think godswords and bandos aren't overpowered and would be great for pking especially without turmoil but I suspect they might have polls for this kind of thing once this poll is over with.

 

Was confirmed. The server is being reverted to a state from August, 2007. God Wars isn't out yet.

Godwars came out at the end of august and did they specifically say there will be no Godwars or are you just going off the fact they say they are using a backup for august 2007? Just because they are building off that backup doesn't mean they can't add things?

 

They said they had a backup from 10th of august 2007, and the gwd came out the 27th.

 

This is sad, I personally liked the GWD however I'm still ecstatic about the new servers and can not possibly wait another second for them (exaggeration at it's best) no but seriously I'm looking forward to them.

 

I reckon 2007 scape will be ruined after a few months due to jagex greed. Looks like we're gonna have to pay $15 or $5 extra a month, that'll soon wear thin with players. What would be funny is that gold will get to like $1/M eventually and people will buy everything they need in the game for 5M.

 

We got what we wanted yet we still complain. FACEPALM.
