2007 Server Discussion

Purely to stop all the 1000000 threads being made, we had one for EoC, why not for this. Discuss.

 

I wonder how the economy will build itself up?

Where will all the gold come from? Alching? Selling items to the shop xD? Damn.
Would they ever add partyhats? Bunny ears? Scythe? Pre-2007 Holiday items?

I'd love to have Phats just cus I like the looks of them, If they'd make those untradeble I'd be happy with that. But I don't see that happening.

 

Can't see them adding ears/scythe etc, but I can see them putting a few phats up for sale at prices that they used to be eventually. Alching and selling to the general store is how gold will arise at first at a guess?

 

And will the accounts all be the same? If so allot of people will have botted allot. just like me back in 07 my CB was like 70 and I thought that was pretty good. Now it's 200 and I've put 0 afford in it.

 

Does anyone have a photo of what runescape looked like in 2007? I can't seem to recall it after all those graphical updates. :/

 

You'll start fresh, Lvl 3, All skills at level 1. Tutorial Island and have 25 Gp, a bow and arrows in your bank , along with a tinderbox, an axe, a fishing net xD! Rawr

 

lol i know how to make like 10m off tut island if I recall i remember a way to get lots of items there.

I do kind of feel bad for those competitive top players, sacrificing their social life for XP/hour. And get a vote thrown in their faces they'll most likely lose

 

Well I guess that's a good thing for RWT'ers lol. High profits to be made.

 

I've had a thought of getting some bots together and making some cash as soon as it comes out, as the first few people will make a lot of cash from it.

 

I wish it would allow us to transfer our current progress to the server, like they did for the EoC.

 

I can't wait, I know we will atleast get 250k!

 

I hope we get 500k so I don't have to pay Jagex a single dime more than I already do. I bet we will though get 500k or more.

 

2007 servers will come back as a separate entity to the current Runescape game, with an additional membership fee of around $15. These servers will receive no content updates and only critical maintenance.


I don't want to pay $15 a month for membership fees. :c So we need a lot of votes on our part.

 

Thanks for this thread mate, will make Sythe cleaner I guess. I would like to know if there have actually been a meeting or talks about servers such as these because if there has some of my faith will be restored in Jagex. If they carry the forum posts out and actually create these servers will be a new kettle of fish!

 

That's if we don't make the effort to vote. Can f2p accounts vote or members only? Guessing it's p2p only so they make bank from voting numbers. 750,000 * 6 is like a fair few million haha.

dont you get a trial membership when you make a new account wonder if you can still vote with those...

 

Its pretty smart letting only members vote. But theres defo a bigger reason behind it than just "getting some extra $". If the vote is positive they'll need some extra funding(a start capital) to start up this new project besides their current projects of the 2013 rs. Pretty obvious maybe but there are many who overview this

 

I think this is a very smart Idea by Jagex, it will bring a lot of the older players back as well as the newer players whom may go to 2013, I see this being a major comeback by runescape.

 

Yeah true but just like any company there ultimate goal is to make the big bucks and if you ask me that's what their goal is by only allowing members to vote! If they weren't so money orientated and actually listened to their audience (they're doing that for once) they'd be a much better company. I mean obviously they're going to be money orientated to an extent but Squeal of Fortune is encouraging RWT if you ask me, my 2 pence for what it's worth!

All that aside, can't wait for 07 Scape!
