Pre EOC ?

So there is this petition going around asking Jagex to bring back the older servers before the EOC.
I wanted to get the general thoughts of the community.

Do you think it will come back?
Do you want it to come back?
( bare in mind these are 2 totally different questions! )

All comments are welcome I will keep the results updated daily and quote comments that give useful information or things that others may like to see.

No, because Jagex is a bunch of fucking idiots.

Do I want it back?
In a way. The game was dying, and still is, but at least now it has a slim hope instead of none.

 

hope they don't game needs to finally die off so this site can move on to bigger and better things then gayscape

I must admit I have a slight bias to the topic and I will try to push my views aside for the topic, but just look at this graph and think, did the EOC help in any way?
And Jagex are smartening up by admitting they are pretty idiotic.

Runescape can be pretty time consuming/pointless, but it did used to be an extremely enjoyable and interesting game due to the constant progression and multitude of activities.

No they won't, there's not enough demand for "before EOC" like for example wildy.

 

You say that but if you take a look at the graph I presented, the graphs have just continuously dropped. Maybe a big update was in order, just not the EOC.

 

It doesn't mean that EOC was bad though. But it certainly didn't help much with their issues.

 

Totally agree, but not only did the Google searches go down, but the player base went down dramatically. I think EOC was an attempt to entice new players by trying to make the game look slightly similar to that robin hood type themed commercial on t.v.
They achieved the opposite of what they wanted, the staff at Jagex said they made an irrational move, which indicates some hope that changes will be made.

Do I want "Pre-eoc" as you say as in right before the EOC? NOP. That was like the pre-funeral of RS, do I want like something old school (06/07/08), yes.

 

Jagex usually doesn't take back decisions they have made, but they do admit that the EOC was a mistake, I'd say its a 50 50, can't be to sure though.
