Chances that RS will be reverted to pre EoC

Given Mod Marks recent statement that EoC was a mistake, assuming people don't renew membership, i wonder what the chances are that EoC will be removed. thoughts?

 

It will never be removed, they will just bring old servers back as some players like eoc, and the old ones will come back as they will have a choice.

 

He didn't exactly say the whole endeavor was a failure did he?
Correct me if i'm wrong but I thought he said some parts of it and the introduction method were bad, but we still had to move forward. Or so I thought...

They no doubt put a lot of work to make EOC possible so there's no way they are just going to drop it completely. This should be interesting though since they'd have to work new high level bosses to work for both.

They better revert back. I do not enjoy the EoC.

 

There's a lot of controversy over this, but I don't think Jagex will do anything to be quite honest. Yes, they could remove EOC completely, but the whole reason they did this was to move forward. It was a marketing stunt to appeal to the newer generation of gamers. Besides, they spent hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars to make this update possible, It's hard to believe they would go back. On the other hand, they said the wilderness would never come back either, and look at it now.

When it comes to importing old servers, I HIGHLY doubt they will do this. They have already stated in a Q&A session that it's literally impossible. I'm not sure how, of course, but this is going by what they have said.

For one, I'd like to see new servers with the old game, but if something is to happen, I think a complete removal of EOC is more probable.

 

It would definitely absolve some resentment older players have towards the game. However, I agree that chances are there may be servers introduced that reflect Runescape in it's golden era but there will be fees that apply just because.

Where on Earth did Jagex ever state they would make servers with the old-style combat? Just because it's what you want doesn't mean that's what will happen...

 

Exactly. Quite the opposite as they said it would be impossible to bring them back.

 

I think there is no chance Eoc will be removed I do think there is a good chance a pre Eoc server could be implemented but there would be huge problems.

 

That won't ever happen. They won't split their playerbase up when they're already on thin ice and losing more players day by day. Doing something like that openly shows they're not confident with their game-play and content. That directly has a negative impact on current players and leads players to believe they're incompetent; leading to more problems.

Ok... and then what? X amount of signatures grants you the ability to tell a business how to manage their own game?

 

It will not be removed but I think they will make some small updates to try and make the game better.

I highly doubt they will bring back the real RS. They can't bring the current accounts back, there would be riots from people who ruined their account for EoC. They can't let everyone start a new account, there would be riots "We want our accounts back".
No matter what happens the players will always be unhappy......

 

It'll be sucking it up or leaving.
