Looking to hire/partner with knowledgeable players

I am trying to start a gold-farm operation in RS. I currently make a living off a different game and have found a need to diversify.

I am looking for 3 types of people:

1) Someone who has a lot of experience running bots and wants to manage bots in runescape for a percent of the profits. I'm talking about managing at least 20 bots. You must be experienced with the scripts, knowing which ones are profitable & work flawlessly, and have a good understanding of the RS economy. If you have a proven method I will invest and multiply what you are doing at least ten-fold

2) Someone that wants to actually invest a fair share of their own money and discuss starting up a gold buying/reselling website. (Registering as an actual business).

3) Someone who has years of experience running a registered gold-selling business and wants to share ideas, talk about the next big MMO, etc.

Why would you register as an actual business when you're selling illegal goods?

Plus you'll have to pay taxes.

 

because that's the way to do it when you're dealing with paypal. Not a lot of taxes depending on where you set up shop.
and it's not illegal. Just against the TOS.

i have to pay taxes regardless, as paypal reports that information

1) This type of person will be the easiest to find. They will know which work properly and flawlessly, and they will also be able to manage a large amount of bots. But the chances of them sharing methods/personal methods with you are slim, as you could walk away at any point, nobody knows who you are.

2) Nobody will want to do this. A few people may invest their own money, but register as a business. For starts it's illegal, and also they'd have to pay tax that could be legally avoided as this is mainly gift payments, personal gains

3) All people with years of experience already have the best ideas, and are making enough cash, why would they share these ideas when they could potentially get leaked, and they probably have already researched the next big MMO.

 

Can vouch for everything I_DONT_BOT has said; I run a successful computing consulting firm, and while this isn't in the gold selling industry, I've dealt with many a "leech" as I call them, people who simply want to take from the work you put in. If you are "hiring" people, at least in the real business world, you have to have start up capital. Also, the legality of it all combined with what I've said just worsens it all.

And I can also vouch for the fact that, as one of industry performance, the ones who are knowledgeable already have researched "that next big thing"; apply it to whatever context you'd like.

what's with all the skeptical comments? not to sound brash, but if you're not interested then this doesn't concern you. I'm not going to detail my plans on a public forum, or convince anyone who is simply here to argue.

1) No one will be able to run off with anything, as I don't have the knowledge or time to manage RS bots myself. Whoever is managing the bots will be managing my money, and if you want to run off with that, the loss is yours as you could make a lot more money working with me. Goldselling/botting is risky business to begin with as you could be wiped out of thousands of dollars in a single day. This is something I've come to accept, so if someone wants to run off with a few RS accounts and couple million rsgp, that is nothing to me. The only consequence would be karma and me laughing at their stupidity.

2) i know gold sellers who are registered as a legit business. If it was illegal there wouldn't be a gold exchange forum anywhere. When you're making several thousand a month, you're gonna have to pay taxes. Registering as a business dealing in virtual goods is not illegal. There are ways around it in the wording. Tax evasion on the other hand, is illegal. All this is way down the road though.

3) because i may have information that could be useful to them, and vice versa. I've been playing MMO's all my life, such that virtual economics is second nature to me. For example, a lot of gold sellers don't actually understand the game they are working in; they are simply buying and reselling gold for that profit margin. But if you actually play and research details within the game, there is always information that you can use to your advantage to increase your profits, whether in game or in the real world. Example: arbitrage, loopholes, exploits, etc. Real example of arbitrage: Let's say that gold for a certain game is going for $0.80/mil. I know how to consistently turn that gold into an item/commodity and back into gold, end up with more gold than I started, netting me .10-20 cents higher per million. This is huge when you're dealing with large volume

I am not asking for free hand-outs here. Hopefully i'll find someone in the same situation as me, because in this business it's impossible to do everything alone if you're trying to expand.

 

It would help if you provided your reputation from the other sites you do business with.

Nobody is going to send you "investment cash" or put in hard work when you're most likely a fraud that wants to sit on his ass and collect cash.

Scammers come and go on this site daily if you're actually legit you need to prove it.

I just find it odd that you want to jump into this business at a time when gold prices are in the dumps.

 

Gold farming is not terribly profitable in this game at the moment.

 

it may actually be more profitable than other games if you find a good working script. As long as something can be done profitably there is potential

A lot of botters I've seen dont have the money to invest or expand quickly, or aren't doing it for profit. I can do that. Look, i'm not here to debate the price of gold or ethics all day. If you're interested hit me up, if not, please refrain from making sarcastic comments
