    Runescape dieing, Theory

The game will become progressively worse and worse, mainly towards the veteran audience, amongst those who played for many years like myself opposed to the new generation of runescape players. The game is being tailored towards a different aududience it seems, and has the WoW, Guildwars image policy being governed now, not to mention add-ons, mechanics of being in revenue; Squeel fortune, solomons.

The games a clusterfuck, its been made noobproof it lacks skill, mainly the game is now geared towards impatient kids who want maximum profibility in a day verse taking time and effort to build something. Rome wasn't built in a day, neither should this game. At one time releases, updates were gradual, steady and easy to conform to making the game enjoyable amongst new,old and players taking time off. As of recently the updates are cram packed, buggy and just overall terrible, it's as though the actual news board is a blog for these idiots to post something.

In concern to 'old rs' private servers are taking over slowly but gradually and will become a threat soon if runescape doesn't prohibit these terrible updates, highly unlikely but anyhow they will not be getting their loyal customers back anymore. The game itself is 2/3 bots, I briefly remember the bot nuke in 2011 that took place, 150,000 players online to 50,000 when they hired Rsbuddies developer and owner 'jacmob' to the team of Jagex. This just goes to show the community is a shit hole now, their is no heart and soul of runescape anymore, pking is dead, it's rambled with dicers, scammers who manifest scamming people through unethical ways of game play. Rather the gameplay is lost, their is no community like at one point but rather technological advancements that repulse appropriate game play; I.E grand exchange. Same principle towards auto mated machined at grocery stores, people ar becoming impatient and non tolerable to wait times or working for something but expect everything to be sat on a silver platter. Regardless of the outcome, fast or slow, grand exchange has undeniably ruined Runescape, and rather putting every in a state of recluse and being sedentary about going out for what you want and ultimately EX-communicating everyone. As if the bots weren't enough, then this will be the topping on the cake.

Short story short, long story short, the game isn't runescape anymore, they changed something that wasn't meant to be changed and the statistics speak for itself. The major problems arise in the same manner as the recent election. When you end up trying to please everyone(Obama) u end up pleasing no one. Where's if you make the system or game competitive people get really excited and work hard/play hard(Romney). At one point this game took raw skill, now it's just a smelly pile of dog shit and lacks adrenaline, fear and grinding hard to become the best. Like most games, Diablo 3 was a disappointment, Runescape, COD..... these games aren't made by nerds anymore rather men in black suits who economically pinpoint and analyses marginalized profits.

Who comes up with this shit, it's no wonder the games slowly depleting, and being milked of every last dollar. This does not attract cliental, it's dodgy rather clumped, compact and confusing to the general observer.

Now we get to my opinion Jagex's latest and worst creation yet "The wheel of squeal". This takes away from real term game play and rather a technical way of advocating RWT/gambling but mainly bringing in revenue with little return value on the purchaser.

Graphical interface, going from sinister to cartoony and toylike, as if going through puberty once wasn't enough, it's a complete rewind of being a toddler.

I'm sure plenty of thoughts arise on this manner, but I thought i'd highlight some reasoning behind why we are here opposed to the neglected community of EOC.

They have to maximise membership, the best way is probably to try and compete with other MMO's that have better graphics etc etc. They're only trying to keep up with the trends.

Also, correct to "Squeal of Fortune" not "Wheel of Squeal", unless that was deliberate.

This, move with the times. Or you can simply move on.

There really is no need for someone to make a new thread like this weekly.

It's not dead yet but I doubt the Jagex executives are done huffing paint thinner and releasing these brilliant updates.

Played since 2004, brutally experienced all of these updates.

I don't mind these updates and of course I wish it was like the old days, but I think if you dislike what RS has become that much, then don't play.

You don't have to play if you don't enjoy it.

    This is how it works.

Investors purchase Jagex, therefore owning RS.
They tell the developers to implement in-game purchases etc so they can make more money on their investment.
    Investors get greedy
Developers get forced to ruin game more
    Investors realise that it's working
    Investors win
    Developers win
    Players lose.

At the end of the day, as long as the people who run it are making money, we are just the little fish at the bottom.
