aegis aura worth it?

so i finally got enough points to buy the aegis aura and i was wondering whether is worth it or not, support your answer with facts please. do not post unless you have any experience with the aura.

Currently, as of 1/3/2013, Aegis has not been updated since the Evolution of Combat, the large amount of damage taken from every attack knocks Aegis out completely. This effect absorbs all able damage in a very short time rendering the Aegis aura basically useless. This is not known to be a glitch or not.

Everything that needs fixing is being ignored, things that dont need fixing are being fixed, and they keep updaing their SoF and Solomons shops.... hmm interesting.
