Stats draining to 0?

Hey guys, i'm really confused about this. I made my way to train on dust devils, and as soon as i get there, i attack one and my combat stats, agility, and summoning drain to 0/99 or like 3/85 after one hit. I repotted and tried again and the same thing happened. i'm just confused by this and hope someone could shed some light on the situation, thanks!

 

Dust devils drain your stats if you aren't using either a face mask or slayer helm. Put one of those on and then give it another go .

 

awwman, thanks! I never trained on them so i'm new to them, i only thought you needed a facemask to not get hurt by the smoke. Anyways i appreciate your help!

 

Slayer helm is needed or facemask.

 

Always read up on a monster before you go, especially if it's a slayer task. Facemask/Slay Helm is a must.
