Road to 55 Slayer on Obby Mauler?

Does anyone have a good guide or know the best way to 55 slayer on an Obby Mauler?

I hate to say it, but just complete the tasks. Do easy tasks for your cb level and do penguin points/quest xp for the slayer xp.

 

What task person should i use? and how do i go about slaying npcs? use a cannon or just maul?

 

I would just maul. only use the first 2 slayer masters.

 

Do reckon i should use the cannon and get 60-70 range and use rune knives/darts for another option to lower the persons health? mauling will take so long.

 

if you want to range/maul do this..

40 range, 60 str
50 range, 70str,
60 range, 80str
70 range 90 str
70 range 99str.

I recommend you complete your tasks with a cannon and obby maul as your weapon.

Be careful with your ranged level though, the max an obby mauler can effectively have is like 78 and that would be with 20 attack.

 

Should i stay 1 attack or get 20 or what?

 

corrupt is too expensive right now. stay 1 attack.

 

Is it worth getting the extra 5 attack levels or so?

 

Do penguins every week to get some extra xp on the side.

 

What are penguins? sorry i wasnt around when these were brought into the game..

 

the highest range and mage levels that you can have on a maxed obby mauler (99 str) is 67 without being range/mage based and leveling combat because of it. I recommend Cannoning and the highest mage combat spell you can use, train them both evenly and as high as you can while keeping it even with your str.
EX: at 60 str, highest range and mage you can get is 40 of both without being mage or range based.

Also you can use various cc's such as World60Pengs or w60Pengs for easier finds each week.

 

Edgeville guy is the best , but you need 40 combat? otherwise you need to use burthope guy - but he is useless.

 

Yeah, should be around 40 combat at 70-80 str
