If Runescape went console...

Would you play more or less if RuneScape came to 360 & ps3?
What if they opened RS3 as a First person MMORPG? (My social-life ending dream of a game. I'm waiting developers. please. please.
Imagine Oblivion but MMO)
Since there would obviously be many glitches, would you exploit for a ban risk or report them to Fagex?

Because Fagex insists on banning botters =D. I think I'd play a bit more, not much though since I'm just a major bot, if it was a different game enitely I'd atlleast try it

It's just one of the many odd things that we just... say.
Most people would say it's because they're "fags," but I'm against using it like that. It's just the connotation with the fact that we hate them.

 

I'm not really digging the 1st person thing. I think it'd be too hard to play that way, like controlling your character and such. Plus it'd totally change the game mechanics and accessing your inventory to do skills like fletching and such might be hard.

I would actually play it less. My guess is that it would be no good on 360 or Ps3.
But if it was made I would give it a try.

 

i love oblivion, i'd love rs the oblivion style game, and i have a ps3 dying for to play it. however, i think jagex checked out porting it and decided against it b/c they couldn't link the psn and xbl players onto same thing

Pking should be a treat on a console. lol. I'd prefer it.

lol... ranging would never be the same xD altho... summoning could prove intresting in FP but like someone mentioned above... skilling wouldnt be the greatest or easilest thing in the world.. i wouldnt mind however a offline console version just like oblivian, that would be nice. cuz i doubt my crappy internet connection would support a world with 2k ppl in it.. expecially in the GE. or pking worlds... just saying

 

So how would you communicate with other players. I'm not buying a keyboard for my PS3. If they ever make a first person rs with realistic graphics i quit.

 

I wouldn't play at all. Some games are just better off on a PC.

Also, call me vain, but i wouldn't want some people i have on xbox knowing i play scape.

 

If you want an FPS RPG play eldar scrolls. Runescape style is unique and that's what makes it so good. If jagex conformed with everyone elses ideas then the game would becomae mediocre and there would be no point in playing it over eldar scrolls or whatever FPS RPG's are out years from now. Also console MMO's usually suck.

So, to answer your questions:
I wouldn't play at all.

If it was on console it would be a lot harder to bot - but it would be pretty cool to see Varrock or The Grand Tree in first person.

 

well would there be like a cursor,and you move it with your analog stick?say you were pking,how would you switch to a spec wep or something on a console.

 

I'd sure as hell try it out, but I'm not sure I'd be able to stick with it. First of all, I don't think it'd work very well... Or it'd be extremely awkward movements.
Secondly, I don't need my friends to see that I've played it.
