New Aura Slots?

So guys, what do you expect the new "aura" slots to have? They said buffing items, so I have no idea what they might come out with. Thoughts?

EDIT : Also thoughts on the new loyalty items in general.

 

I don't like it at all. I like runescape over WoW for its simplicity and they are starting to add lots of stuff like this. But i could be proven wrong and these updates may be great. As for the new aura slots im just guessing you get items like trinkets or something that can boost str or whatever.

 

Yeah I notice more WoW like upgrades every other week. I'm guessing they're going to be fancy items that boost certain stats depending on how many "Loyalty Points" you have. Maybe have upgradable items? The more "points" you have the bigger bonus/fancier item you get? No idea but I'm sure we're going to hear rants about them if they effect PvP at all or the wild since some people may get the items quicker than others.

 

PKing at its current state is wreaked, if they make a decent counter to each aura slot an do it evenly i will support the update, but if they make it like they make everything else.. 6 shitty items and 1 super over powered one well im just going to have to say , jagex FAIL again .. expected

 

excatly. i dont play WoW but when i watch videos of it theres just a lot of chaos and i cant tell whats going on. runescape is becoming the same way. i remember in 2003 when you went pking everyone would do whip to dds or if you were rich you would do whip to ags. now theres all these new weapons and armour and its overwhelming

 

Even tho i am a noob at WoW, the start is slow as and it allows you to learn whats happening , do you think someone who has never played RS before knows what Binu22's doing when his pulling 6 way switch to KO's ? Doubt it.

 

Jagex are updating for newer players and are forgetting about the old school players, Its such a shame.

Im really hoping that the loyalty items wont be any good, its kind of sad jagex sees that if they keep putting more "epic" items in they will get more players, but its very un true.

On the topic, I hate all RuneScape updates. It will probably be horrible and make me completely glad that I'm a skiller.

Yaknow... I know Fagex can't see this site... but if they could, they should read it. We'd give some badass advice.

 

I just hope the auras are too cosmetic. The last thing I want to see is every player in a members world glowing.

 

I'm thinking it will be like permanent prayers like +2% Strength, HP increased by 20% and other stuff like that, but that would be over-powered so maybe not.

Whip nor ags was around during 03, and you can't expect Jagex not to bring out new items / armor. Who would play a game for 10 years with the same armor and all the same weapons. That shit would be boring as hell.

But yea, I'm hoping this update isn't over powered.
I'm hoping it only boosts a few things, and it helps skills and things like that.
I don't want it to make too big of a diff.

 

It's going to be something that will give some of bonus to str, def or w.e

I don't think the update will be useful.

Far as loyalty items, will be based off membership subscriptions.. buy more get more... or they will make it so you can buy points for money... /shrug.

Of course they're always are going to be new things, I think the point some people are trying to bring up is that Jagex doesn't do too well with balancing things out.

A lot of updates actually have potential to do well, if they were thought out a little more, but a lot of updates tend to get released that are quickly either overpowered or underused.

 

Infact, in 2003 there was no whip/godswords and all that bollocks that guy just said.

Whips were released with slayer in 2005.

Godswords were released with GWD in 2007.
