I am angry at myself.
I had 14M in total. I bet 1m. Won.
I then had 15M.
Then, I bet 2M.
I won that too.
Then, the addiction really got me, and I bet everything.

Guess what?

Why did you make a thread ranting that you lost at in game gambling? Don't get angry over what you risk.

 

I did just say I'm angry at myself. I did mean to end the post telling people to only risk what they are willing to lose. If I'm honest, I think the whole gambling thing should be removed from the game. The game is for 13+, and yet it involves gambling, and can cause addiction to gambling.

 

Sucks, should have quit while you were ahead. Maybe you'll remember that next time.

 

The whole system should be removed just because some random guy's whining about his loss? Guess what? RuneScape doesn't work that way.

Back on topic, the last 4 days I've spent hours and hours at w54 dicing, watching people make bank and get cleaned. The thrill of possibly winning takes over and you can get carried away. If you're a host, you can make some serious bank there.

Well its not alot of money in the first place.. shouldn't of bet it all if it was alot to you.

 

It happens. Be thankful that it wasn't a very large sum of gold; I've lost more than 1.5B+ between dicing and staking (which still isn't even that much compared to some other people).

15M can be obtained in a few days of botting, don't be discouraged.

 

This is how gambling works, you get addicted and eventually everyone loses money, it just keeps cycling from people to people. Then the dealers take their fees and get rich off of it.

 

I think of it as better on a game then at a casino in real life and if your betting gp that you bought for real life money then that seriously is a problem.

Betting is adicting and u must kno when to stop to be sucessful i learnt that the hard way.

 

That's kind of how i lost 20m. But who cares =|

 

If I counted how much I have lost At staking I wouldn't be suprised if it was around the 2b mark..

 

Not to be an asshole, but I'm so tired of seeing all these "I got cleaned, dicing and now I want people to feel bad.." threads. Its your fault you lost it all, It happens sometimes when you gamble. Instead of wasting time whining about losing the money, how about you go make the money back?

Be glad it wasn't a large sum of GP. You're lucky compared to others.

 

I started with the same sum. I made it up to 1b within the second night. My secret? Don't bet it all. Sure, do large wagers if you feel comfortable, but don't ever EVER go all in. It leaves you with nothing.

Personally, I buy a Santa hat every 130m I win. I leave myself with around 10-15 to play with. This, for me, helps me not go all in. If you can find a scapegoat item in which you buy every few wins, do it. It's helped me alot. Don't make gambling a habit, and don't get addicted. When you are blinded by greed, that's when mistakes happen.
