Quest to 99 Mage/Smith

Hey guys, recently I've been trying to find a cheap way to 99 mage. It's especially hard because my main got hijacked and I lost most of my net worth in RSGP, but no one wants to hear a sad sob story about a hijacked main. In my quest to find a good way to 99 mage I saw that everyone seemed to think alching is cheap but the fact of the matter is, its not. Unless by the grace of god you buy the items listed on alchwithnogploss . com or whatever its called and make profit alching, extremely unlikely.

Then I heard people talking about superheating and how you can also get 99 smithing for minimal loss or in some cases people have made profit. I couldn't believe it! After further looking into it I found out that mith bars are a 15gp loss/superheat if you buy and sell all at market price.

My plan is to buy slightly below market price (4%) to beat out the 5% and to save the small amount of money I have on my pure. Take a look at the math i did below (its quite basic) and tell me if you think and item will NEVER sell, or is crashing or any flaw in my little plan (I'm sure there will be flaws but I can hope!) If this works well and I actually get on a roll then I'll be posting proggies, having a party at 99 (DOUBLE 99 PARTY OMG?)

1k mith ore = 211 market (buying at 191/ea)
2k coal = 217/ea x4 = 868 market (Buying at 207/ea) = 835/4
1k nature = 139/ea market (buying 132 ea)
1k mith bars =1,203,000 (market)


(1000x191)+(1000x207x)(x4)+(1000x132)= 191,000+828,000+132,000 = 1,151,000
1k mith bars = 1,203,000 (selling on market)

Have you actually tested the buying/selling prices you've listed for each of the items?

 

Use the flipping method for finding prices.

Buy 1 mith ore for 1000 gp, then sell it for 1 gp. Say it actually buys for 215 and sells for 205 that means you can buy and sell mith ore at 205-215 gp. Use this method for each item.
