Total Game Currency?

I was just thinking wouldnt it be neat to see all the wealth of Runescape added up to just see how much their would really be overall? I for one would love to see how much gold their actually is in the game overall....Would it even be a realistic number? >_<

Overall there would be way to much wealth lol. I saw this guy who has 266m onyx.bolts (e), which means theres probably alot more people with ridiculous amounts of wealth. Add them all up and you get an unimaginable amount.

 

I wonder if there is so much money its not even an actual number? lol it could be usd wealth, or actual in-game gold wealth... Either way its a massive amount.

 

I'd say there's around 2 Trillion gold in the game? Maybe this includes phats, not sure. But its up there.

 

Alot of people have 50bil banks + but they just dont open up think of all the people with 200m in hunter ect..

I'd say it's around 5-15 trillion.

 

I've thought about this a lot as well. I wish when they made the grand exchange they could have put more statistics. For example, the amount of that item bought/sold in a day or the current volume of that item. Would be interesting.

Would be nice to find out how many phats and other rares are actually in the game

 

Pretty sure duke freedom calc'd this back in ~2007 and gave a curve that you could probably calculate current wealth with...

 

Any idea where/what this is? Wouldn't mind trying it

If the story about 266m onyx bolts is true, only that would be 2.5trillion. Lets say there are 1 million active runescape players. Lets say each one has 15m on average. Sure there are guys with just 5k, but then again, theres people with 500b out there. So do the calculation and find out that there is roughly 15trillion wealth moving in the game. PLUS the rares on the forgotten and banned accounts. Pretty sure that those equal to another 5 trillion. So, in total, I'd guess that there's a total of 20 trillion gold pieces worth of items + gp.

Some people have 200b alone...it would be ridiculous plus it would always be going up since resources re-spawn ever 10 seconds

Id say theres atleast 5tril out there if you count all the money/items that are hidden on banned/old/unused accounts

 

are you talking Runescape 2 alone, or RSC as well?

all together i would guesstimate about 20-30 trillion GP just in RS2 alone

 

theres sooo much money on rs.probably like 20trillion

I think you guys are giving ridiculous underestimations. I don't think it is at all unreasonable that there are at least a few HUNDRED trillion coins worth of wealth floating around, considering all the rares, etc.
