Don't Lend Ur Items!

DO NOT LEND UR ITEMS! people are now using a new scam where u lend them an item they some how take it to the wild and can lose it => U DON'T GET IT BACK!! idk how they are doing this but i just possibly lost my phat over it!

 

I doubt this would work, and if this started happening alot, Jagex would have a rollback to fix this. Because if they didn't players could have lost MILLIONS and MILLIONS.

i am saying this because a player asked to barrow my p hat for like 1.2mill for 6 hrs... low and behold right after i get a message "hey look at this youtube video ... we can now steal lent items" i am just giving everyone a heads up hopefully i wake up and this didn't really happen i informed jagex and worse case scenario i hope they roll back

Wasn't a similar thing patched a few months ago?

 

Bringing lent items into the wildy was patched.
Pretty sure if you die with a lent item you keep it automatically on death. the only vid with lent items in wildy was from a few months ago and you still kept the lent item, that glitch was patched.

Hmm, this is strange. Doubt it works, but still thanks for warning me.

 

This was patched before, the player would take you into the wild with your lent item, get you to skull and then use the lent item on you so it goes back into your inventory.

 

I heard about this, it definitely would've been patched.

If not, post in the forums about it or send an eMail.

I have a feeling this is a troll post. I know exactly what you are talking about and it was certainly patched months ago. There is no way to return the item into someones inventory now. Thus your story would be impossible.

Its from the Youtube video where "a" lends "b" a party hat, they both go to Edge lever teleport and then while they are at the webs "b" starts killing "a" whos risking almost nothing so he doesnt care. When "a" gets to low as HP, "b" uses the lent partyhat on "a" which returns it to "a's" inventory. "b" then bangs him out for a partyhat, GF.

Yes it was patched, and i highly doubt there is a new one i haven't heard of.

Jagex has a looooong history of not rolling back. Not even individual rollbacks for people who legitimately lost large sums of cash to glitches in the game (not due to their own stupidity).

They wouldn't rollback. You'd have to suck it up or pay however many hundreds of dollars to buy back your phat.

 

thank god that kid messed it up and i got my p hat back >.> and no this wasn't a troll post i just came back recently to rs after not playing since a while back but yeah....some kid barrowed my p hat then told me to look at a youtube video, i did and it scared the crap outta me, luckily it didn't work for the guy >.> was scared there....
