Beware using powerbot

I literally just logged into Powerbot after not even playing Runescape for months, and was almost instantly logged out. Upon logging in I had a minor macroing ban of 14 days.

So beware using Powerbot right now...

 

But have you botted on that account before?
A lot of bans are 'delayed' and happen upon login like that, it's common.

Yes, in this instance I did.

 

If you login through a botclient, it's very likely that you'll get banned. The bot-watch actually works these days

 

Jagex cracking down on botters man, bot watch has the ability to see what client you are running and logging in through.

If they could detect the client, then why don't they ban botters upon first login using a bot client?
Don't spread false info :X!

Only way to truly test if a client is detectable is have many people play legit on it for an extended period of time (over weeks) and see if they get banned.

So OP, the account you use has NEVER been botted on, EVER, at all, at any time since creation? And you got a 14 day ban, that's pretty nuts :/.

 

Yeah that's right. That's why I was kind of pissed lol. My one legit account.

 

I disagree.. I bot pretty frequently and yes the ban rate is high as hell right now, but all clients are about the same ban rate.

Some bans are delayed until you log into the account. Possibly its something you did before you left? Even like an autotalker possibly.

 

This. I don't think jagex would ban you for NOTHING at all.

 

just happend to me i have used epic bot a long time ago and it fucked up my computer no ban or anything from that. just logged into my main to see a 13 day ban just appealed. this is crazy.

 

happened to me now, i was botting at gnome agility and i log out for 10-15 mins, banned.

 

I bot quite alot too, and have several clients open at once, you just have to be prepared to take that risk in botting. also botting for set times is smart too, dont have it running for 24/7 because its a higher risk obviously.

Also cleaning the Jagex Cache file stored on your computer is smart also.

 

I'm glad that I quit botting when I did. After that first wave of powerbot bans I just quit while I was ahead (20+ 99's ). Really botting ended for me after the fall of rsbuddy though, that bot was always my favorite.
