Can anyone provide some interpretation of this email? Does it mean that the account will be banned if they suspect further sharing/selling of details or only that future recoveries will be ignored/denied?

"After reviewing your account, we have strong evidence to suggest that you may have been selling/giving away your account details.

Account trading is a direct breach of our terms and conditions. If we witness additional instances of account selling, sharing or related offences, you will relinquish ownership of the account and we will no longer consider any claim you make for it."

Damn, this is the first I've seen of this,

There was just a post the other night about this and everyone said Jagex will always accept your claim if you're the owner. :/

If that's from real jagex, then they investigated your account and found that the account has been logged into via many different ip's. So they think you are account sharing and should stop doing that.
However i've never heard of a ban for account sharing (exception : ranked high in hiscores ), only mutes.

So i think that they mean that they'll ban the account if they suspect further account sharing, not 100% sure tho. Never have gotten such an email, but then again you never know with jagex.

Are you sure? Screenshot it or something, since account sharing is allowed I don't see why they would send you this.
    I still think it's a phish attempt.

I'm pretty sure they can't enforce this rule, and if they can, it only matters if you recover an account after claiming a hacker changed the email (again). So selling the account is okay, but recovering the account once more after the sale isn't.

Also, I recommend not streaming or 0% staking. Jagex looks heavily at those accounts and someone got banned before for RWT because he bought the account.

Actually, the email is from [email protected]. Is that a legitimate Jagex email?

    EDIT: http://i.imgur.com/TeNXa4z.jpg

Email subject was Re: [Ticket#XXXX] Account Help Query

The links in the email are all legitimate, but I've never had an email sent from that email before. All the previous ones sent had been from [email protected]

It was an email provided after a recovery request was submitted, that's why they also had links for a password reset. I'm inclined to believe it's a legitimate email but still unsure of its actual implications.

You might want to remove the ticket # from your post since they'll be able to trace that to your account and any info you're posting on this thread.

Interesting. I've never seen this email before but it could be legitimate. As someone who takes care of a few of my friends dailies as they live a lifestyle where they can rarely access the internet that's quite worrying. Hopefully they're not going to enforce it too heavily.

^ That looks pretty fishy IMO.

kind of surprised to see this. In the DG speeds community a lot of people share/sell their accounts, and they're pretty open about it. At one point there was a maxed whore account that tens of people had access to. There's even been a few JMods who said they didn't care what we do with our accounts as long as there isn't any scamming going on.
