AFK Training in Nightmare Zone

I've been away from Oldschool RS for a little while and I hear a lot of hype about AFK training in NMZ. I know Guthans with 75+ defense would be really effective for AFK training, but is there viable afk ranging methods?

I also hear you want to avoid completing certain quests (like a pure doesn't want MM to be complete for NMZ?) so as a void ranger (42 def) what quests do I need to complete and what do I need to avoid?

 

No point of limiting yourself by not doing quests now, do all the quests that are required for a void ranger, then go to w330 and use a mtd host.
There isnt really an afk range method, it's just as semi-afk as normal nmz, not like guthans though.

 

So I'm guessign the hosts do Ernest Chicken, Mountain Daugther, etc.. so you get the easy bosses?

 

They usually do the following:
Mountain Daughter
Tree Gnome Village
Grand Tree
Vampire Slayer
Fight Arena
Lost City

 

I would recommend not doing grand tree until you are a higher level, the demon is not good for low level nmz.

 

You can afk only with guthans, that's best
