So what do you all think about being able to have bonds brought to oldschool, and in return perm. f2p will make a return?

Myself am super hyped about bonds coming to oldschool so I don't have to waste my time, or trust some other random person to swap my gold. I want to just simply go and buy my own bonds with my own cash on Oldschool.

    Thoughts?

idk whats the problem with Bonds... most ppl buy membership via rs3 bonds anyways..... and if some1 wants to buy gold, they can do it with the rs3 method or sythe method already...

That would be awesome if bonds passed. Cba to swap my 07 to rs3 for some crap rate, or buy bonds for 07 gp for an even crapper rate. Instead can just go straight to G.E. whenever and buy bonds with no hassle.

On the downside, gg everyone in the bonds market.

I'd be smart to quit, there's no point to train or level anything anymore when you can just synthesize gold into the game by paying irl cash.

Why train RC to 91 for natures to make 1m ph when you can just buy 3m by spending $5?

Why train any skill anymore really, I mean if you need money you don't need to skill. Just buy a bond and exchange it for gold.

GE is now added to the game = All of the production skills are now uselss (smithing, crafting, fletching, runecrafting, herblore, cooking, farming) because you don't make money training them anymore. You pay money to train them.

Bonds are now added to the game = All of the production skills are now uselss (smithing, crafting, fletching, runecrafting, herblore, cooking, farming) because you don't even need to train them to make money. You don't need skills to make money anymore, you can just generate gold into the game whenever you need it by spending irl cash.

Sure all of you will be able to get your gold easier, I can see that's the primary concern lol... Not really thinking about the long term integrity of the game and how bonds with diminish the value of our hours we have put into this game, our playtime, our accounts, etc. :/

Yup, if this isn't in the spirit of Oldschool Runescape, idk what is. Good job lol vote yes for GE, yes for bonds, yes for microtransactions, yes for EoC! We don't want to wait for anything so make the gamer easier just like EoC!!! We want our gold and bonds now!!!! Let's make everything easier!!!!!!11 We don't want to earn GP or levels, we want them instantly for IRL cash!!!! This is the future of OSRS!!! VOTE YES!!!!!!!

^Your argument is invalid. You're on a blackmarket site where alot of the market is dedicated to buying and selling gold. So either way, someone could come on here and purchase gold with irl cash. Secondly, even if this site doesnt exist, people could buy bonds on rs3 anyways, sell it for gold, then swap it...all of which is completely legal. All this does is make it easier for people who want membership on osrs to get it easily with their GP.

As long as they don't add microtransactions, I'm fine with it.

Also: did they mention how osrs bonds would work? Same as the rs3 version?

It's not invalid because when you buy gold off of a blackmarket site you aren't generating millions of GP into the game. You are buying GP that has already been earned/made.

When you buy a bond, you are paying Jagex $5 to synthesize 3M GP to your bank. I hope you can see how this is different. lmao

i think it won't affect much since it's already in rs3, it will just save money into the bond buyers in 07. however, they say they want to keep money that flows into the game unnatural out, so why the bonds .....

You do realize GP is not generated? It's GP from other players.

Guys as good as it sounds many of our Sythe's finest Gold sellers will not be happy about this

Reason- Many gold sellers bought bonds so they can sell it for 07GP, now that this is introduced, the bonds will just be sitting in their bank which results in no profit. They shouldv'e given a heads up on this notice instead of publicly announcing it "Live" on air.

Not to mention you take a risk, by RWT'ing. Bonds will make it legal, zero risk,no nothing.

Oh, I actually didn't realize this lol.

    I don't care then.

If that is the case, bonds don't destroy the game anymore than the GE already does.

I thought I heard on the twitch discussion from the jmod that you would be able to "talk to an npc to exhcange your bond for 3.5M coins".

I'm supportive about this just the same as I'm supportive of all quality-of-life updates. It would remove a lot of risk that comes from swap fc's, and although it may damage the Sythe market in that regard, I'd still like to see it happen.

Also it'll get rid of the typical "I have 200 vouches, I'm really trusted" people who got 95% of their vouches from worthless bond trades. I've wanted that for a long time.

I don't see it being any good for those who were involved in the bonds and gp swap business. Demand will go down since the service is becoming nonexistent (at least for osrs players using bonds).

Player wise, it makes it easier. Black market wise, nope lol.
