    The requirement to access the beast should be over 200 quest points, there is already a quest requirement of 200 to block another slayer monster and I think that tier should be overcame considering a difficult quest would nonetheless be involved. A minimum combat requirement of 115 and over would be lovely as to only allow true warriors to enter and access the boss. As for what the beast drops, I am opposed to the 4 different tier shields as they would lower the value of other shields in their class that were recently released and render some item that are hunted from certain boss' useless once more.

    One item I would like to note that lacks a highest tier would be the helmet! We have the fire cape, dragon boots require 83 slayer to obtain--infinity boots--ranger boots from medium clues. We have new mage and range shields, not to mention the rare dragonfire shield. We have weapons from god swords to kraken whips. Bandos, armadyl armour are both triumphant--we have a very cheap ahrim's set though I'll throw that in. Fury amulets do the trick. What's missing?

    THE HELMET.

    The Corpereal [Bone?] Helmet.

    6 pieces required to construct this beautiful piece of headgear.

    Why 6? 3 to construct the base and 3 different additional pieces used to construct their combat style; magic, ranged and melee based. Once they are attached there is no way to remove them and change the style of your helmet--you must build a new one or buy one!

    How could these helmets become even more rare and worth the time it takes to slay this nostalgic beast? BARE with me: the 3 shards required to build the base of your helmet being untrade-able? This way you know you can't just buy this bad boy with your money you need to spend the time to actually acquire this unique item yourself!

    There should be no combat requirement, that is just silly. The corp should drop noted resources like snaps and ranarrs (50-100 of each).

    The only rare drops I want to see are spirit shields. I want dfs to crash hard :-}.

    I dont know about divine/ely i perfer a even combat game. I would like to see the arcane and spectral reintroduced. SS was good too.

    No thanks, exclusive untradeable armours suck. I don't want to be forced to PVM in order to use a new OP item. And before you say "you can choose not to get it" thats BS because others will use it in the wildy and I'll have a disadvantage.

    They need to introduce some more shields in the game. DFS is getting boring fast. Not to mention, those multi-colored obby shields look like shit and are shit.

    Neitz is already a popular helmet alternative for what you are suggesting. A combat req to enter is stupid however, if you are good enough at combat to kill the boss, then kill it. If you aren't good enough, then get killed by the boss. No need to add restrictions on combat level.

    Tbh they were all balanced actually really well -- the cost and chance of losing the divine due to the prayer reduction really limited it's ability to be used in most bossing, and it made it a high-risk high-reward item for pking, which was desperately needed to balance out the low-risk high-reward dclaws, korasi's, etc.

    I don't know the stats on the new(ish) 07 mage and range shields, so I don't know if it's worth putting these items in the game.

    This comment makes me think you never owned an ely or div. They were insanely op. Divine was usually the better choice, you' just needed to replace a few brews with ppots for bossing.

    Spectral and arcane on the other hand weren't too bad. Useful, but not overpowered.

    i prefer them as they used to be, but in a way that wildy shields aren't dead content.

    I pk'ed exclusively with a divine & went undefeated while using it over thousands of fights from the time free trade came out until eoc came out.

    I won't deny that it is extremely powerful - there is no other defensive piece of equipment in the game that can rival it in any way. HOWEVER -- it was extremely well balanced compared to the offence available.

    There's a thing I like to refer to as the 'bullshit gap', where you can get killed by someone who is risking less money and able to kill you for more money. Best example of this is a ragger - someone dressed in dhide and an ags. Even if they lost 99 out of 100 fights against a user with full bandos, that one miracle venge/ags spec combo will make them a HUGE profit, while they risked basically nothing.

    The Divine and Nex armour sets eliminated the bullshit gap. Using both together was extremely OP, but *just* a divine or *just* nex armor would keep a skillful user safe from a bullshit combo from a less prepared, less equipped player.

    The max offence kept going up as Jagex made updates, but the max defence was capped at 99 hp. The Divine changed that

    Don't ignore the downsides of using a divine. If you dc'ed or got ddosed in combat, you were basically guaranteed to lose it, as opposed to protecting a set of d claws or something where you would only lose them IF you happened to be low prayer when you dc'ed AND your opponent was using smite.

    In addition to this, it is only usable with 1 handed weapons since it is a shield. This means if you want to switch to a more powerful 2 handed spec wep (dbow, dclaws, ags, etc), you are left vulnerable. Also, it is a trade-off for meleers because they can't use a defender, which makes a big difference in offence.

    The thought of this at all worries me honestly, i feel like we're going down the same path ruinedscape already did. I mean think about it, back in 2004-2006 we were all loving the updates, kept asking jagex for more and more, and now look what we've got.

    if they rebalanced them I wouldn't mind the addition of shields, I strongly disagree with how USELESS the spectral was.
