Artisan and Bounty Hunter !

What did you vote for!? Why? If you're wondering what I'm talking about, the Poll for Bounty Hunter + Artisan was released today.


I voted NO for Artisan, I am not against a new skill eventually but this one just sounded dumb and redundant to me.

I voted YES for Bounty Hunter, as I think it is a staple of Runescape's history and I don't mind a 2008 creation being in 07 (Plus it would only be on 4 worlds I think they said.)

 

Bounty Hunter, yes. I love the Dev Blog, and the way they plan on putting it into RuneScape.

I thought they'd split the PvP worlds into halves again, but they are combining them in a way, which is fucking amazing. (They've taken comments about the combination into consideration and whatnot, according to Mod Ronan)

Artisan? Not necessary at all. People will train the skills that they will get "tasks" for in time, if they so choose. The players don't need an ADDITIONAL SKILL to tell them to TRAIN OTHER SKILLS. That's redundant as hell.

 

Looks like both polls are going to lose.

I hope they re-tweak the concept for BH and re-poll it...they rushed its poll badly..

BH Yes thought it was great.

 

Voted no for both mainly because I don't want the devs wasting time on this when it can be done doing something else.

 

A fair assessment, as much as I love Bounty Hunter I can't help but think it'd be dead content.

 

Bounty Hunter just slammed itself into a good position for day 1 of the poll, at 63%.

Artisan, RIP.

 

The issue is the community is so god damn stupid.

The mods said multiple times that they wanted to implement Bounty Hunter into the game before polling the idea of what sorts of rewards there should be. They wanted it to be accepted, and if they polled it with money rewards or EP drops they were worried it would fail. Instead, people are saying no because it's not coming with rewards.

So frustrating seeing so many spastics voting no because there are currently no extra rewards from Bounty Hunter. The rewards wouldn't come from the offset as the type of rewards can be polled after they can confirm it's addition to the game. And before anyone mentions PvP worlds and how they haven't any additional rewards as mentioned by Mods before it was implemented, excuse me if I'm blind but I haven't seen a huge fuss be kicked up over this.


Almost wish they could just merge the PvP worlds and bounty hunter into 1 world somehow. Say the Bounty area = the Wilderness with Edgeville as the only safezone in the game or something.

 

Why no craters for BH? WHY!?!?!?

 

So they were planning on not having craters for BH? Lame, I want BH as it was when it was first released. Craters were sweet.

But like I said it'd probably be dead content :l.

 

Yeah. Splitting PvP into yet another segment would only further kill the PvP community. It's already 95% rushers. It'd be a shame if even they left...then who would we anti-rush?

 

No one wants a new skill in oldschool, especially one that is super tedious like slayer.

 

The people on the forums now call it "Fartisan".

I'm all for a possibly new skill, or dung or summ down the line..but I'm content right now.

Artisan is just stupid.

 

Mod Ronan worshiped the skill on stream like it was some masterwork.

"Yeah guys, how about we give them a skill....that makes them train other skills...and if they are already level 99 in every non-combat stat...LOL GG KIDS HAVE FUN DOING IT OVER AGAIN LOL. They'll totally love this idea!"

I'm much more salty about the rushed poll for BH. Idk why they think we want Bounty Worlds as opposed to the old Bounty Hunter. I agree with people that think cratered bounty hunter would be incredibly challenging to keep alive, but man I loved old BH.

 

I loved it as well, but there's literally no point in adding an update that 15% of the playerbase will utilize, ya know?

 

Couldn't have said it better myself. It's definitely the memories talking for me on this one. Would have loved to see that old BH arena again.

If they could find a way to make incentives in it without destroying the economy, I feel like they could make it work.

But yeah, Bounty Worlds? Lame. PvP Worlds are already pretty dead I thought? Or are they not?

I guess I should find a Private Server with BH if I wanna get my BH fix on.

 

PvP worlds and World 2 edge alike are in low numbers.

The thing about it is, people set their expectations WAY too high, and got disappointed. PvP worlds consist of 95% rushers, 2% raggers, and 3% actual PKers, from my own experience.

I think if they would just add rewards like the PvP weaponry as a low drop chance on player kill, that'd be fine. No statuettes, but degradable armor would be fine...a constant demand, because it will eventually turn to dust, therefore only boost the economy.

 

Id love the old bh again, was amazing. No one wants to train another shitty skill

 

I voted yes for BH because I wouldn't mind doing that every so often that sounds pretty fun. However, I voted no for the skill as there already enough skills I don't want to worry about training another skill, especially one that will probably end up being pretty shitty.
