99.9% AFK Magic Training Question

Not sure if you guys have seen this video

But I was wondering, do I need a smoke battlestaff to do this? They are around 4M right now. I'm looking to get 67-82 Magic so I'm not sure I want to spend the money on a staff like that, incase the price totally drops or Jagex nerfs it and people stop buying the staffs.

Just looking for some advice on this.

If you don't want to lose a LOT more money than you already will, yes, a Smoke Battlestaff is required. It will save you quite a bit in the long run.

 

If you are only getting up to 82, smoke battlestaff is not cost effective. Over the course of 1-99 it is worth it though. (as long as the price doesn't crash).

 

I wouldn't trust it for so long, probs Jamflex will nerf it.

 

It's not getting nerfed, nor will the price drop. The demand for it will always be there with various training methods.

The video was posted a long time ago, it only dropped about 1m (because there are many more ingame now)

 

Yes I know it's old. I'm just getting into high level training so I wanted methods as to if I should buy it or not Don't really wanna spend the 4m if I don't have to, etc.

Then it's your best bet! you will most likely lose little to nothing at all, and it's an amazing staff ( might keep it after all )

 

I won't see the need for it after that except for maybe getting 99

Just alch, you will lose some money but at least you don't have to worry about prices of a costly staff dropping.

 

Just buy the staff and resell it when you hit 82 mage. It will be rather fast to hit 82 and probably the staff price won't change at all. If you're lucky you'll make a couple geepees with the flip
