Merchanting - Ruining 2007?

Yesterday I was in my clan and there was this guy that had a 7.5b bank due to him merchanting. To celebrate, he dropped around 1b in items for the clan. I feel as if this is ruining the game for other players. Runescape is meant to be a challenge.. not just get 40m for free which can end the determination of other players. Either jagex needs to create a big item/coin dump or something to make the game a bit more challenging.

 

This makes no sense really. People have been doing drop parties for ages and the game never failed solely because of that.

 

If anything it's spreading the wealth around to people rather than having it all in certain places.

 

7.5b isn't that much compared to how much people make from botting, gambling, or staking. There really isn't any point in preventing people from being rich, and to get 7.5b 07 it would have taken an incredible amount of time.

 

Merchanting to that extent just doesn't happen over night. Unless you run multiple bots, merchanting takes a lot of patience and dedication. As for ruining the 07 economy--as Xier0 said, merchanting is nothing compared to botting/gold farming.
