Death of 07 after Pre-Eoc comes back?

What do you guys think? Do you feel runescape 2007 will die down after pre-eoc POSSIBLY comes back?

If you don't know what im talking about, Jagex set a poll to bring back the old combat system to the live game!

I have already quit 07.. To boring imo. But if this legacy mode thing comes out i will start playing again! Really happy about this.

 

It won't die. Don't get your hopes up. How they will integrate pre eoc still isn't public. There are still overpowered weapons and prayers that still linger the game. Oldschool is what it says; more subtle and controlled.

 

hmm well true, well they are planning on making it more like it was pre-eoc, get it as close as possible. I don't know how they'll work out the prayers and stuff though. Have you watched the video?

Eoc will still be the worse version of the game. The combat system is just one of many problems the game has. The economy is still completely broken, it's way too easy to gain exp in pretty much every skill, and they're adding more and more micro-transactions as time goes on, just to name a few.

They lost 80% of their player base to either 07 or people quitting, and bringing back pre eoc combat system will not bring them all back; it's the last gasp of a desperate company.

 

well 100% true. The game still has a little bit of people, nothing compared to what is use to have prior to eoc though :S

The 07 graphics are still 100% better than rs3, IMO

 

Probably tbh because EOC you keep stats and stuff, 07 you had to train it all up, idk .

 

I don't think people realize that EOC isn't the only terrible update that has hit what is now RS3.

Dual-wielding, overpowered weapons and armors, stupid skills, and a completely trashed economy have polluted the game. It won't be the same.

It might slow down a little, but it most definitely won't die out. The only reason I see people picking RS3 w/ new combat over 07rs is because they'll have their original stats. It'll just depend on how far they've gotten in 07rs.

If they bring back the old combat system to EOC it will be a huge disaster. Dual-wielding drygores hitting 80+ in the wildy would be absurd. Another problem is how they would integrate EOC users with other users who use the old combat system. One idea was to create separate servers, EOC servers and Old Combat System servers. IMO this just further divides a dying community into now, three parts: Old School, EOC, and EOC (Old Combat System). I guess we will all wait and see until this summer, because it will almost definitely pass.

For users like me who are stuck on 07 I'll give it a try but I doubt I'll stick with this pre-eoc thing as I'm so much more familiar with everything being so simple on 07.
