what kind of alching items are good atm without a huge bank?

 

Alching is pretty expensive atm. The best choice for you would be maple, yew or magic longs. You can use zybez forums for the current prices and rs wiki to figure out how much profit each items gives.

You could still alch addy or rune items and actually make profit, but they're pretty hard to buy in large quantities.

You can make a small loss through alching yew longs if you are at camelot bank buying them as people make them.

I'm not sure if 07 prices are the same as EOC but I used to use this site when I was low level'd magic and alched on EOC http://www.scape-xp.com/runescape-high-alchemy.html

 

Prices are quite a bit off now.

 

Well it was awhile ago that I used it, I train magic through the dags now.
But I do know rune stuff/Dragon daggers/Battle staves in the EOC do give profit not sure about 07.

 

I got 55-82 magic with about 2m loss.

But the process involved about 16M GP funds and got me over 40 crafting levels and about 25 fletching levels.

 

Please elaborate or PM me because i'm 74 trying to get 85 with as little loss as possible. I have 41 crafting and 55 fletching atm

 

Yew longs cost over 200 gp each to alch, they are actually one of the more expensive items to alch, just because it is easy to get them in large quantities.

 

You can always stun your way to 99 there is a great script out there on tribot which if you can get past the first few levels of fight caves and where max - magic gear you can stun for up to 6 hours straight. And cost you barely anything (couple mil) for 99 magic with a mud staff. Just an idea for those who wish to train magic in a diffrent manner (stunning there is around 30k an hour xp)

 

Gold amulets and fletching his own longs I believe.

Least expensive is yew long (u)

 

I like to do willow longbows (u) because theyre about the same loss as yew longbows are, but you can buy massive quantities of them because they're only ~20 gp ea
