    RS3GoldMart stole my design

    Hello,

I'm the designer and developer of www.divicasales.com.

RS3GoldMart (http://www.sythe.org/members/398840-rs3goldmart.html) was hired by a gold shop owner to design his site at www.boglagold.com. He was paid $250 for the design alone, and someone else was paid for the PHP back-end since RS3 did not complete it.

For anyone who doesn't know, you can easily steal someone's design by right-clicking on a site and clicking "view source", and then copy and pasting the code. That's exactly what RS3 did, he stole my design completely and passed it off as his own. He wasn't able to get the PHP because you can't get that code the same way as you can take HTML.

Please check out the footer bar, check out the feedback page, check out the general feel of it, check out the order page. He doesn't even change sentences (most text is the exact same), he doesn't change any of the layout, he doesn't change any of the order form.

He has profited $250 for stealing my design and claiming it as his own. This is a design that Divica paid for, and that she should be able to use exclusively.

RS3 should owe $250 to either myself, Divica, or Bolga - but he definitely should not be allowed to keep it for this blatant rip-off. I trust your judgement in determining what happens to this thief.

EVIDENCE: Bogla will be posting proof of him hiring RS3 for the service very shortly. I only know because I messaged him on live chat and demanded an answer for the rip. He has said that he would rather the $250 to go to me, and I can actually turn the design into something that's unique to his site.

    Thanks
    Mike

He should be posting it soon. Can you just note that the website is literally a direct copy with a few minor things changed? Just in case he changes it, I want at least 1 moderator to have seen it.

I'll PM the guy and see if we can resolve this between us - but if not, I'd like this to be looked into please.

    RS3GoldMart stole my design

I hired Rs3Goldmart for a complete website back in late September - early October. He showed me a template that was the same design as what is on my website now with a slider on the front page (like Divica's). I asked it to be removed and add my own background. The website had foreign text and was named RSGP GOODS before the changes. He said it would take 1-2 weeks to complete. I said it was fine as long as he was willing to apply my changes. I wanted the same type of functions as other popular websites and referenced both Divica's and Arcus's functions and mentioned that I wanted all of them with additions.

After 2 months of waiting for completion (my gfx order delayed some changed for 2 weeks) I found out he had been asking around if others could help him with php. At which point I handed the project to someone that could actually complete it.

The design came from Rs3goldmart along with a barely functional website. I hired Ballers and Quid to fix it up what was left to me. What has been fixed so far:

    1) Add *BG* in red to all 07 payment method totals OUTSIDE of the box (remove the current ones on Rs3 buying). To the right of the box outside of it would be perfect.
    - added text "*BG* is our guarantee to you. If you find a cheaper price with the same payment method we'll beat it"

    2) On our swapping page we need an indication that tells the customer to only input a number and not "10m" for example. This messes up the calculator.
    - in addition, made the calculator ignore any "m" entered by the user

    3) After a customer selects any payment method other than PayPal, Skrill or BTC (these are automated) the customer needs to be linked to a page where they are told to join Live Chat to finish processing their payment.
    - in addition, there was a lot of payment methods that would not ionput the correct price in the database.. did you test this? I fixed and added code for this.
    - I had to go through your rs07 file and fix the database record fetching code, as it was bugged. It would fetch the first order they made and base it off that. ie someone orders $20, then later ordes 440 - it would tell them $20 the second time too. I rectified this for you.
    - Fixed the fact that ordering 07 gold said EOC on the confirmation

    4) For the values when buying Gp PayPal needs to be give an indication if the customer is trying to buy over 100m 07 or 500m Rs3 telling them the max amount they are able to buy with PP

    5) Swapping page: The titles need to be underlined or more obvious to give a better indication of the location. EX: Runescape 3 and Runescape 2007 locations after they have ordered need to be more distinct from eachother http://gyazo.com/8ba5028b3fd8e97cd91b481eed828a27

Swapping page also gives us no notification in admin CP.

    6) Again in the swapping page when you put in all the info you are brought to a 2nd page that is totally useless. If this could be removed that would be great

    7) In admin CP from what I've seen so far it gives us no notifications of when someone has paid for an order, you can see the order manually but no notification is given. We need that.
-added the status column for you. this will only work if the status column is updated by the other script, so please be aware of this... if it doesnt work how it should then this column isnt going to change.. i can fix it up if its not working later..so let me know
    - added a manual status control in the admin tables.. "Refund", "Incomplete" and "Complete" buttons

In the order section of the website would "IP used to order" be able to be added to the display?

    8) Make the minimum 07 order 5m

    9) The border of the payment method selected needs to be more obvious somehow then it is atm (barely noticeable)

    10) The customer needs to be brought back to our website after they pay for it, given an order and and told to join live chat with it. Currently it seems when you make an order through PayPal they pay and are just left on the paypal screen afterwards

    11) On the right side of the payment options I need something that tells the customer what *BG* means by the payments (its an indicator telling the customer that if they find a lower price for that payment option we'll beat it)

    12) On the front page remove this part: http://gyazo.com/17f7fdfd11b4e7bf5d87ba22f8ca9b6a
Replace it with text under the banner saying "Registering is only required for PayPal payments!" under the banner, make it noticeable with bigger font then it is currently and centered

    MORE
    - Admin notification and re-notification every 5mins
    - accounts for admin cp for other employees
    - option to select who completed the order
    - When they select pp when not logged it promp them to register/log in
    - Make it so the customer can't delete uploaded documents
    - Log in automatically every time they join the website

Amount spent so far in fixing up the website after RS3goldmart: 165m 07 gold.

The amount paid to Rs3goldmart was $200. When I hired him I hired him I was under the impression that I was getting a fresh website with elements from other gold sites. Not just a copy pasted code. I was some-what satisfied with the end result despite the bugs left majority of files.

In the past 3 months I've had 4 Skype's permanently locked. I have limited proof and will be searching mine and my brothers personal Skype's for anything relevant to the transaction for the night. Will edit in anything I can find as I go along:

While I can't decide on a verdict I would prefer the money I paid go to a new designer to give me something modified.

Screenshots will be added here as I find them:

    RS3GoldMart stole my design

There's a huge difference between using similar elements being the same designer, and someone stealing a design and claiming ownership. I did what I was hired to do, even though I advised my client several times that it was a bad idea and I had other concepts in mind that would be far better, whereas RS3 took a design and claimed it as his own to his client. Jess and I have always had some problems between us, and she just got mad at me over this. Since I was just trying to help her with this report (since they use her design), I guess it can be closed.

As for Blues: he had hired me and originally asked to purchase the code for Divica's site without telling her. I told him that I couldn't do that, but could do his own thing. I came up with a great concept that he shit on (that I will be using myself) and continued inching towards Divica's design.

For further proof that developers of a similar product will often use similar design aspects (stuff that THEY OWN), you can check out all of MMORPG's sites.

Anyway, this report was made to help Divica because I didn't want this site to use the same design as her and get away with it. If this upsets her, then I'll close this report and let it be.

I'm not really sure what to do to rectify anything with Divica as she has blocked me and her boyfriend is telling me to just drop it and move on.

As I said, the only reason I made this report was to help them out.

    RS3GoldMart stole my design

We've been talking on Skype and we've determined the following:

    - It was actually $200 paid, not $250.
    - Bogla would like a new design.
    - RS3 is willing to do it, but according to Bogla, it will take a long time.
    - Bogla wants RS3 to send me some of the money originally paid and have me redo the theme, but RS3 won't do more than $50.
    - RS3 would refund it all if Bogla deletes his site, but Bogla would lose a ton of customers from downtime - even though he had to hire people to redo RS3's code, so it's apparently not much of RS3's work left there to delete.

tl;dr: RS3 did site for Bogla, was garbage PHP and a stolen design, Bogla hired someone to edit it to get it workable PHP, still using stolen design, RS3 will not compensate anyone well enough for their time to redo the design.

I'd like this to be looked into please. I just want my design off his site - whether it's me who does the new one or not doesn't matter.

Note: Any professional design and front end development will cost around the $200 mark, or more (usually more). I offered to do it for $125 just so I can get that other design off his site, but RS3 is refusing while Bogla is willing.
