    Dispute Against Dexterity

    Scammer's profile link: http://www.sythe.org/members/418440-dexterity.html

    Explanation of the trade:
I was, and still am currently interested in a Starter Zerker Account for sale on RuneScape's 07' Server. I came across Dexterity's thread, which he claims to be selling the account "Bertractor". (Here is the link of the thread to which he is selling Bertractor: http://www.sythe.org/runescape-2007...sted-zerk-all-untradeables-decent-stats.html).

Because of my interest, I thought, great - It's time to PM this guy on Sythe cause his deal is in my price range. I PM'd him, and we exchanged Skype Usernames, and began talking on Skype. Eventually it got to the point where we settled on myself paying 50% of the amount he wanted for the account (80$, 50% of 80$ is 40$), and I transfered the money via PayPal to his account. He then pulled out some bogus lingo falsified Jagex emails to state, I can't receive the account right now because he needs to change the email from his to mine. I said sure, and he changed the email to mine - yet claimed that there's a 6 hour wait limit on changing the email. At this point, I knew something was fishy. Therefore, I showed him, based on my own personal EOC account, there's no such 6-hour wait limit; and changed an email on my main account on Runescape EOC. He didn't buy it for some reason, and said wait till the morning. Now, it was 3 AM local time, and I just went to bed, thinking "Fuck It", I'll be able to raise a dispute and re-claim my money in the morning with all the evidence Dexterity has against him.

    How they scammed:
Never returned their side of the deal; 50/50 Scam.

    Other relevant trade screenshots:

In the chat logs, you will see how I questioned the email by Jagex. Here are all 4 of the images he shared with me; captured via Imgur.

As you can see from the last screenshot Dexterity took; it's an email from a non-Jagex account, making my case build even larger that he scammed me.

Moreover, to assure I sent him 40$ first; in the 50/50 agreement we had, I have visual evidence of the PayPal Transaction: [IMG]

Included in the image above is the Skype chat log where he clearly asks for half the money first, and I sent him the requested amount, contingent upon him giving details of the account so I can gain access - which he never did.

Fast forward to this morning, you can see at the end of the chat log, he said he's going to wait 8 hours and he will talk to me then. It's been 8 hours, and I've forwarded the 40$ already, being very impatient is an understatement on my behalf. I decided to view his profile, and see that he currently is buying RSGP with the money I sent him, and he can't even communicate back to me. In his 2nd most recent post on these Sythe forums, he is seen buying RSGP from a reputable vendor (See this Image: [IMG])

It's blatant the 40$ I used to pay him half right away was used to buy 10M 07 RS Gold. At roughly 4$ per mil some Gold Vendors sell here, it's a fair assumption these funds are already put towards gold in an 07 account.

I am confident this is enough evidence to easily make a decision for the Mods to take action against this "Dexterity" character. If I have not provided enough information - Please, let me know. I will go sift through more chat logs and find any further evidence needed.

Also, if I can talk to a Mod on how to claim a dispute on PayPal, I feel like this thread is enough evidence to prove my case and reclaim my "lost funds", however long it takes.

Thank You for your time and considering in the reviewing process of this Anti-Scam Post.

    Dispute Against Dexterity

I've gone ahead and banned the user for scamming. If Dexterity wants to return to Sythe he'll have to repay the 40$ (if you don't win it back in the Paypal dispute).

Thanks for the well written/organized report!
