Folt is a thief

It has been known for some time that Folt snipes names being sold in the names section, and for some reason he was let off with only a TWC in the last report. I was contacted by a customer the other day regarding a name I sold, "Clay", that was stolen during the transfer process (see PM ID: 7513680).

For this report, I'll focus on "Clay" because it is a name I sold myself. The others were sold by sellers in the name section and have assisted me in compiling this report. They can be named if needed. It's our general consensus (and has been since Folt's last report) that he's clearly out to unfairly abuse the market.

Today, a past customer ("mati") contacted Folt regarding names, and in response was given a list of names Folt is currently selling (see PM ID: 7529017). This list contained "Clay", "Gong", and "****", all of which were stolen during transfer recently. If PMs were dug into I'm sure others would come up as stolen, but that's not the point. XRAY, my customer who purchased "Clay", attempted to get a list from Folt but "Clay" was left out (see PM ID: 7528986), while it was available to mati both before and after XRAY's PM. This is obviously a process Folt is familiar with and has practiced if he knows to leave names out of the lists he sends to the users he stole them from.

In the PM you will see Folt values the stolen name "Clay" at 400m. Before even considering Folt's unban, I believe XRAY (and all other victims) should be offered either the value placed on the name by Folt or the name itself. The choice of which I'll leave to XRAY, as he's the victim here.

I've reported the PMs I've received and noted that they should be merged with this thread. If you need to look through my PMs to see when/where I sold Clay, feel free to. I'm not sure how he thought people wouldn't figure out, especially with names like Gong and **** that were openly advertised and sold to people that were not Folt..

Let me know if you need anything else. Keep in mind that "Clay" as well as the others were stolen after he was given his TWC for reporting name sellers to Jagex. There's absolutely no excuse for him to remain on this site. After speaking with his friends, it's clear that a ban will not stop him from doing what he does and that I'll probably be targeted for posting this. I've weighed my choices and would rather see him banned.

Hey Taylor,

There is no question that I have these display names for sale right now. When I obtained them I did not obtain them with the desire or intention to ruin another trade on the site. I will gladly refund each and every name that is ever in question; provided that you can give me the correct amount of proof that the goods were sold on sythe.org, I do not mind that at all because I want all trades on here to go as safely and smoothly as possible.

I have admitted to name sniping before, it's what i do as a means of gathering stock to provide users with quality and secure usernames. If by any means anyone falls a victim to this I have no problem with returning the goods, as they weren't intended to be stolen from the market by any means anyways.

I want to place emphasis on the fact that none of my stock is intended to be stolen. I have a huge advocate in the names market for having users be as satisfied as possible with each and every purchase (even if it is not purchased from myself). I will be more than willing to return these display names given the appropriate evidence and proof of ownerships prior to mine.

XRAY was given the name again.

 

Seeing as there were no sythe posts showing that those names were for sale AND Folt has refunded them and is waiting on refunding "Gong" I see no issue with this.

Sythe's policy has always been that sniping a name off a Sythe user/sale is what is against the rules. It's not allowed and will result in a ban so long as it's knowingly done. In situations like this where it's accidental and then the users are refunded, normally I'd just place a TWC and call it a day. Folt is waiting on refunding the last guy so he's taken every necessary step to handling this situation.

If from this point on, I see a report of you KNOWINGLY sniping a Sythe-related name, that is a name owned by a Sythe user/being sold by a Sythe user, then it will result in a perm ban. No more reports on old bullshit, you're both being given a strong and final warning.
