Explanation of the trade: A scammer paid him $900 to ban evade and that scammer then scammed me $1350

How they scammed: A scammer paid him (a mod on pb) $900 to ban evade and that scammer then scammed me $1350. He didn't know I was scammed and wrote an apology letter after being caught saying he'd refund anyone who was scammed (even though that should be obvious). I made a scam report and the admin said that he has already been punished (demoted from mod) so that's about it...

Total amount was $1,350.
I paid PP directly from my bank account ~$300 before I stopped paying. They sent the difference to a collection agency which then came after me.



I already paid $300 before I got this letter directly to PP.

The user was a mod on another site and a scammer bribed Skipa into letting him ban evade. The corrupt mod took the bribe and the scammer then ended up scamming me for $1,350.00.

User said he was sorry and apologized on a thread on the corresponding site stating that if anyone was scammed that he would refund (he didn't think anyone was scammed).

I recently got a letter in the mail from a collection agency stating that I owe )1,048.00 to PP as the difference of the $1,350.00 I have yet to pay.

I was a moderator at the time of the incident, and my punishment was lead to being demoted.

 

You're the reason I got scammed $1350 and all that happened to you was a slap on the wrist and the loss of volunteer work...?
