    empty nose syndrome

    I been suffering from ENS for over a year now.

    The biggest problem with ENS is without your inferior turbinate functioning. you basically don't get any oxygen in your body/mind. Feels like you're suffocating 24hours a day. Making eye contact is painful since I'm always suffocating
    I had the surgery under my parents insurance at age 26 and have regretted it every day since. Lot of ENTs remain ignorant that ENS even exists.

    I experience mental fatigue 24hours a day and try to not breath through nose cause constantly makes it worse.I get no rem sleep and wake up from slightest sound. If you have healthy nasal breathing please appreciated it friends and don't take it for granted. you never know what you have until you lose it.

    I have gotten A few PRP/ACELL injection to my inferior turbinates to regrow the nerves but treatment is costly.

    Here is copy past of symptoms

    Symptoms

    physical symptoms

    * Nose feels too empty/hollow/absent.
    * Diminished nasal airflow sensation feedback ('paradoxical obstruction').
    * Extreme sensation of dryness of the nasal cavities, with or without crusting.
    * Not enough moisture/mucus production.
    * Dryness of the pharynx, soft palate and back of the tongue ("dry pharyngitis" and "dry laryngitis").
    * Feeling of needing more nasal resistance (or nasal membrane responsiveness) to breathe.
    * Increased pulmonary sensitivity to air-borne irritants, strong scents and cold air. Causes much uneasiness in breathing and sometimes even long-periods (can last hours) of severe shortness of breath, depending on the degree of exposure.
    * Diminished sense of smell and/or taste. Can be confusing - because although there is diminished sense of smell there is also hyper-responsiveness to light and volatile airborne chemicals, fumes and irritants.
    * Difficulty projecting or resonating speech. The voice seems weak and requires some straining to sound loud and articulate well, which causes uneasiness in speech.
    * Feeling weak and depleted of energy.
    * Very poor quality of sleep. Not necessarily full sleep apnea, but shallow and dry breathing, which often switches entirely to mouth breathing only, waking up a lot very dry, with headaches, severe dizziness and very little REM sleep.
    * Relatively dry skin and eyes.

    cognitive symptoms

    * Difficulty concentrating ('aprosexia nasalis').
    * Difficulty performing mental tasks.

    emotional symptoms

    * Marked reduction in sense of self and very crippled sense of well-being.
    * Irritated and/or depressed mood. Often clinical depression.
    * Anxieties.
    * Avoidance of social interactions.

    other characteristic physical symptoms that many ENS patients develop

    * irritating sensation of thick stagnant mucus stuck at the back of the throat. Because of the dryness of the mucosa the mucus propelled to the throat (on the way to the stomach - the nasal mucociliary clearance that occurs in all humans) simply becomes too dry and sticks to the sides of the throat instead of sliding smoothly unfelt.
    * Chronic sinusitis.
    * Worsening of pre surgical nasal symptoms, such as allergic rhinitis, etc'.
    * Epistaxis.
    * Hardly any mucus production, or the opposite – episodes of excessive rhinoreah.
    * Foul smell from nasal cavities.
    * Gastroesophageal reflux (GERD).
    * Elevated levels of blood pressure.
    * Hormonal and metabolic imbalances.
    * Significant weight gain.

    is a CPAP machine an option? i use it for my obstructive sleep apnea which is basically not enough airflow while asleep, seems like that could be something useful for your condition (atleast while your asleep, may help you get a better nights sleep)

    it is an option but I had a couple of these injections and this is getting to the problem at the source. ACELL is being used to regrow muscle tissue in veterans. after my injection my nasal breathing would be 110%. I have faith that I can achieve permanent benefit.

    I kind of just skimmed the post honestly and I didn't notice where you were from, but I know in the US that there is a program called CareCredit. They can give you what is essentially a low to middling interest rate credit card that can only be used for medical expenses and you only have to pay $25 a month.

    If you're planning to fund your medical costs through questing services you don't have much hope there. You might be able to get a few hundred a month out of it but it won't come anywhere close to the $1500 you're paying.

    You could start up flipping gold / swapping gold and selling the profits now that you have some vouches behind you. Those would likely be better money but it would take a long time to get into it, possibly a year or two.

    Other than that you may be able to get work as a livechat agent or something which would probably pay a bit better than questing, but would understandably have less long term prospects.

    That's actually really good. How you manage to do that many quests in a week consistently I really don't know. :p

    Have you considered expanding into other markets? Perhaps employ a worker to do something else and take commission until you've grown into an AIO service or something. So long as you have workers doing the job and hold deposits you shouldn't have any issues.

    I feel bad for you, but no I don't think anyone on these forms are lawyers or doctors. But from what you said it doesn't seem like you would have a case.

    My advice is keep going to the doctors! Keep going until they do something, go to different doctors, just don't stop. If you don't have insurance then get it asap. Do a lot of research join ens forums, see what other people in the same situation as you are doing. Search for doctors who have fixed this problem before.

    I did a little research and there's surgery you could get to help.

    Do you have insurance? It's dumb to pay out of pocket. Insurance companies get major discounts individual people can't. What country are you from?

    United States. philadelphia specifically. did you see the part about the procedure? Insurance isn't going to cover plasma enriched platelets/acellular matristem injection into my inferior turbinate.

    insurance covers basics not complex things like this.

    what advice I need is how to come up with $1500 by friday. doesn't matter if illegal or whatever im desperate
