Neighbours cat killed my cat

Not sure what the rules are in the UK about revenge, but is it legal if the neighbors cat is on my property I can take revenge?

 

Think about how sad it made you that your cat died. What would your neighbour's feel?


Don't attempt to harm an animal like that we understand that your grieving over the loss of your animal but this is no logical way to think

 

I wrote a letter to my neighbors and there reply was 'its nature' so I'm just a bit spiteful to their reaction and that they're not taking any action, even locking their cat in for a period of time.

 

So because they were unsympathetic, you want to hurt their cat?


Two wrongs do not make a right.

 

Don't take revenge, their cat shouldn't suffer because of its owners.

The best you can do is call the police or animal control.

EDIT: My bad, I thought that your neighbours killed your cat. Still, don't take revenge.

 

How exactly did the cat die? Did they run it over accidentally? Did they purposely kill it for no reason? A little background information would help clear up some confusion.

Your neighbours aren't at fault, and their reply is completely reasonable (albeit a little cold hearted). I'm sorry that your neighbours cat killed yours, but perhaps next time you should teach your kitty some self defence. It's a cold world out there.

I think animals are considered property, so you could probably demand monetary compensation for the cost of your cat.

Thats obviously because the cat killed it. Not your neighbour. It's sad but I actually don't think you can do anything about it, probably the neighbour might have to pay some money (that's how it is/would be in germany atleast).

Other than that:
imagine someone would kill a member of your family, you still wouldn't be allowed to kill someone of the murderer's family..

I'm sorry for your cat but don't do anything similar to that in return, don't try to level with them maybe report them to your local animal warfare if there's one like what we did before, my nephew poisoned our dog for pooping in their yard.

 

report the incident to animal control. they will put down your neighbor's cat.

 

You could probably sue the owners on grounds regarding carelessness.
If you want revenge, this is probably the closest thing possible you can do that does not include killing their cat
