I'm really depressed

So basically it's like I am being depressed for no reason and it's really depressing, I've been experiencing this since last year when I met someone else (I don't want to talk about it though) and I am regretting that I have met that person. Do you guys think this is normal as I have heard a lot of stories and about teens getting depressed too different stories.

I've posted a thread a while ago about the same thing but it didn't helped me a lot although the replies from fellow forum members are really great and helpful but I just can't get out of it, I don't also want to tell my parents about it or else I'm pretty sure they will bring me to a physician and they will blame the internet and spending too much on video games for me being depressed when it's actually not the reason.

I also have a very low self-esteem which is another why I am depressed, I hate taking pictures and every time I am on a picture that a friend posted on facebook and they tagged me, I always remove the tag so people won't be able to see it from my profile and I started to have a very poor self-esteem when I started not to go outside a lot and spend most of my time playing video games but now it's starting to go back again as I'm trying to boost my self-esteem and confidence by working out on the gym (put my body in shape) and stuff like that.

I edited the whole thread so you guys will understand it more. I don't even want to post it here as people would think it's weird or a troll thread because this looks like too impossible to happen to someone else.

Okay I'm going to make this short, I'm depressed and I tried to be busy on the other stuff to make me forget about thinking of it but I just can't. Do you think it's really normal for a teenager to be depressed a lot? I think I am more depressed than my mom being depressed because of her business.

[*]Yes, that's the reason I started going to the gym, to boost my confidence and self-esteem but it seems like it's not working.

• Instead of sitting on the internet day in day out, try and get out and socialise with people. That will help boost your confidence as an individual.
  
• Age shouldn't matter, it's what inside that counts.
  
• If you spoke to her, that may reduce a lot of your insecurities at least.
  
• Things like that you've just got to stick at, asking for support will be your only help if you feel like you cannot do it on your own.

 

You've made a few of these threads now, and the same advice will be given to you each time. I know how tiresome it is to ask for advice, get the same answers and feel no more inspired or motivated to go and do something about it but the truth is; nobody else is going to go do it for you.

You have one life, and you are young. You can be absolutely anything you want to be in life... but nobody else is going to be it for you. You need to chase it, live it and be it for anything to happen.

Write down what you want to accomplish and go and accomplish it.

I would randomly get depressed during my high school days as well, and even now sometimes. It may have been caused by hormonal changes and just being overwhelmed towards the fact that you're actually growing up.

Just remember that you need to make the best of your life. Once you graduate from high school, you won't even see half of the people you went to school with; they become irrelevant. So don't care what anyone thinks, focus on yourself and self-improvement.

And there's places you can go to where you could ask personal support questions anonymously online.

Personal advice from someone who was in a similar position, go out to a party and hook up with another girl. You'll find out that really at such a young age there is no falling in "love" but rather falling in "lust". A girl who gave you attention may have made you happy and you had sexual desires but when she started to ignore you, you got sad because your sexual desires were rejected. At parties, everyone is drunk and it's a sure go to hook up with a girl (even if you're butt ugly which I'm not saying you are). Do it and see how confident and happy you'll feel later on.

may I ask, what are your normal activities within a normal day?

 

I don't know if you're religious at all, but what if there is truly a darker side of the endlife.

Not sure the level of depression, but I wish you the best.

 

find something that makes you happy and do it until it kills you.
go out and explore the world.
read, learn, laugh and experience everything the universe has to offer.
